Escondido Charter High SchoolCross Country2007-2008 ECHS Cross Country Makes the State Finals Cross-Country Race Schedule 2007 Kyle Broxterman ran a strong race at the CIF State Championships in Fresno this last Saturday. In Division IV, (which dominated this year), he ran amongst 201 runners, and placed 32nd with a time of 16:47 , once again beating his personal record! Escondido Charter High School was well represented! Way to go, Kyle! ~Coach Claire Broxterman
Escondido Charter’s cross country team ran in the CIF finals this last weekend. The girls team and the boys team each placed 8th overall, both making an improvement from last year! Also, Kyle Broxterman ran the race in 17:18 and placed 3rd qualifying for state championships this upcoming weekend (November 24th) in Fresno! Way to run White Tigers! -- In addition to the teams moving up in placements, and Kyle's great win, 5 other runners set personal records for the season...congratulations Todd, Westin, Selina, Marissa and Nicky! The cross country team had a great season and is happy to be representing Escondido Charter High School at the California State Championships this weekend! GO WHITE TIGERS! Emily Wisden
Here is a quote from Coach Wisden about last Friday’s race: “............10 of the 15 runners PR'd for this same distance and of the 6 that ran con. finals last year, 3 of them beat their time from last year. Kyle Broxterman placed 3rd overall for the conference and 2nd overall for coastal league north. Additionally, boys varsity came in 3rd for Coastal League North! We look forward to this coming Saturday” (CIF Championships) “and more excellent results.”
