Mark your ECHS Daily Planner and join us August 25th for White Saw, the new horror/comedy from writer/director Carson Patrick. Prepare yourself for a night so scary, you’ll laugh yourself silly! Everyone is welcome to this blockbuster event. More details to come! Student Handbooks (TCP): All TCP students will be issued a Student Handbook
during first period today, August 17. After reading the handbook, both
the student and the parent should sign the acknowledgment form and return
it to the first period teacher no later than Tuesday, August 22. Teachers
are requested to review the parts of the handbook designated below during
class on Thursday: Independent Study PE (TCP): Students who participated in the ISPE program during the summer are reminded that all logs and essays are to be submitted to Mrs. Lasley (Room F202) on Tuesday, August 29. Meetings to discuss the program and hand out ISPE contracts for the fall semester are scheduled as follows: seniors and juniors, Tuesday, August 22; sophomores, Wednesday, August 23; freshmen, Thursday, August 24. The meetings will start at 3:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Attendance is mandatory for all students assigned ISPE. Fundraiser: The Parent Advisory Board and Athletics have created a new partnership for the Annual Dinner/Auction Fundraiser to be held on Friday, September 29 starting at 6:30 p.m. on the Commons. The theme is "Western Round Up the Funds" and there will be a barbecue dinner of tri-tip and chicken provided by HUNTER'S STEAKHOUSE. Tickets are $15 per person through September 22 and $20 thereafter. Parent volunteers are critical to the success of this event and other PAB sponsored activities. If you can volunteer to help with the auction and/or any other of our student activities, please call the school or sign up at the PAB table during Back-to-School Night, on Thursday, August 24, at 7 pm. In addition, if you have items that you would like to donate to the Silent or Live Auctions, please call Belinda Oberle (PAB President) at 760-291-1422. JSA: Do you love to argue? Are you interested in politics or want to become an attorney? If you are, then J.S.A is the club for you. Please come to an informational meeting on August 22 at 3:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in Mr. Webber's room, C203. Come and join, it is loads of fun. Join ASB: Want to be an ASB representative? You can sign-up now until August 24 with Mr. Takagi, in room E100. Campaigning starts the 28 until the 1st of September. And you will need to give a speech on September 1! An ASB representative will be needed to plan and execute school events such as dances and lunch activities.
Parking Permits: All ILP and TCP students parking a car at school must register or re-register their vehicle and obtain a parking permit prior to September 8. Registration forms may be picked up at the Main Office. A parking permit will be issued when the registration form is completed and returned to the Main Office. After September 8, vehicles without parking permits will be given one warning and then booted. Note: All staff are reminded to re-register their vehicles and obtain a new parking permit by Friday, September 8. FCA: There will be a leadership informational meeting for FCA (Fellowship of Christian “Academians”) in Mr. Brose’s room, C-201, on Friday, 8/25/06, at lunchtime (12:30 PM) for all Christians interested in making a difference for Christ at Escondido Charter High School. CSF: CSF application time is here again! If you had good grades last semester, you may be eligible to join California’s premiere academic/service organization. Applications are in the library, the front office, and in F-203. NOTE: ALL FORMER MEMBERS MUST REAPPLY EACH SEMESTER. The absolute deadline for applications is August 31. Cross Country Informational Meeting: The meeting will be held Thursday, August 17, 6:00 PM, Room C-201. If you are interested in joining the 2006-2007 cross country team, come to this important meeting. Bring your parents, as well, so that they can hear about the requirements and the expectations for the upcoming season. Friday, August 18, 3:10 PM, Room C-20. If you are interested in joining
the girls’ volleyball team for the upcoming 2006-2007 season, come
to this important meeting! We will discuss the expectations and the requirements
for the season. Contact Mrs. Tahli Henry, volleyball coach, Dance Audition: The dance team will hold an audition meeting on Tuesday, August 22 at 3 p.m. in room B202. This is a mandatory meeting for all interested in joining the team. Paperwork and audition information will be given out at the meeting. CSF: CSF application time is here again!
