Monday thru Wednesday, August 28 to 30, 2006
Week 3
ISPE (TCP):
Summer ISPE logs and essay are be submitted to Mrs. Lasley (Room F202)
on Tuesday, August 29. Also, Week 1 ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be
accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should
be placed in the basket in the Library!
Fundraiser:
The Parent Advisory Board and Athletics have created a new partnership
for the Annual Dinner/Auction Fundraiser to be held on Friday, September
29 starting at 6:30 p.m. on the Commons. The theme is "Western Round
Up the Funds" and there will be a barbecue dinner of tri-tip and
chicken provided by HUNTER'S STEAKHOUSE. Tickets are $15 per person through
September 22 and $20 thereafter. Parent volunteers are critical to the
success of this event and other PAB sponsored activities. If you can volunteer
to help with the auction and/or any other of our student activities, please
call the school or sign up at the PAB table during Back-to-School Night,
on Thursday, August 24, at 7 p.m. In addition, if you have items that
you would like to donate to the Silent or Live Auctions, please call Belinda
Oberle (PAB President) at 760-291-1422.
Drivers Ed (TCP):
Drivers Ed will be offered after school on Monday afternoons from 3:05
p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students who whish to enroll must (1) have at least
a 2.0 GPA, (2) have been 15 years old on or before June 16, 2006, (3)
have parent permission to take the course, and (4) be one of the first
20 to register for the course. Students can obtain a registration form
from Mr. Waterhouse in room C101. The first class session will be held
on August 28. Remember, the course is limited to 20 students.
Join ASB:
Want to be an ASB representative? You can sign-up now until August 24
with Mr. Takagi, in room E100. Campaigning starts the 28 until the 1st
of September. And you will need to give a speech on September 1! An ASB
representative will be needed to plan and execute school events such as
dances and lunch activities.
CSF:
The deadline is approaching! CSF applications must be submitted to the
library or to Ms. Rittenhouse by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31. The
new membership list will be posted by 3:30 p.m. on that day!!! Freshmen
will be eligible to apply in the spring semester. Fall’s first CSF
meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 5, at 12:30 p.m. in room F-203.
Wrestling Informational Meeting:
Students interested in wrestling are invited to attend an information
meeting this Wednesday, September 6, at 3:10 p.m. in Mr. Grady’s
classroom (F-104). We will discuss the season requirements, expectations,
and events. Contact Mr. Grady or Mr. Brose for more information or if
you will not be able to attend the meeting. Go ECHS White Tiger wrestling!
Girls’ Basketball:
A Girl’s Basketball meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 12
at 6:30 p.m. in Room C-201
(Mr. Brose’s room). If you’re interested in being a part of
the 2006-2007 ECHS White Tiger girls’ basketball team, come to this
important meeting. We will discuss the season requirements, expectations,
and games. Contact Mr. Brose or Chris Keyser for more information or if
you will not be able to attend the meeting. Go ECHS White Tiger Girls’
Basketball!
Girls’ Volleyball:
Girls’ Volleyball will conclude their tryouts today (Monday) and
tomorrow (Tuesday), from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the YMCA in Escondido.

Join The Dance Team!
Auditions will be held on August 29, 30, and September 5 at 3:15 p.m.
in the Student Union. If you did not attend the audition meeting, stop
by room G-102 to pick up the paperwork needed for the audition.
Chess Club: Join the ECHS Chess Club or just come up and enjoy a match!
The chess club meets every Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in F-203.
NHS:
Community Service at Town & Country begins this Tuesday. See Ms. Rittenhouse
to sign up for any Tuesday this semester. The next all-member meeting
will be Sept. 12.
