Escondido Charter High School
"Education Is Our Business"
CHARTER NOTES
Thursday thru Friday, October 26 to 27, 2006
Week 11
Community Cleanup:
Escondido Charter High School is sponsoring a community cleanup along
East Valley Parkway on Saturday, October 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The cleanup is an excellent way for students to complete the four hours
of community service required each semester. Students, parents, and staff
are invited to join us! All supplies will be provided for cleaning. Free
food and drink will be served at 12:00 p.m. See you there!
Senior Dedications:
October 31 is the deadline to make your deposit for senior dedications
in the 2006-2007 yearbook. The due date is final. Late submissions will
not be accepted.
Homecoming:
Attention Charter Students, the "Enchantment Under the Sea"
Homecoming dance is just weeks away. The evening will take place at Church
of the Resurrection on Saturday, November 11 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The
night will be filled with music, dancing and food. Tickets for this spectacular
event will be sold at lunch beginning Monday, October 23. Purchases should
be made in haste, as the initial price of $25 will rise on November 6.
ILP students can buy tickets from the main office. TCP students can only
purchase tickets during lunch. No tickets will be sold to TCP students
in the office. Students wishing to bring a guest must fill out the guest
pass application and have it approved before buying the guest's ticket.
Blood Drive:
Please help support the ECHS Blood Drive sponsored by the Biology II class.
The Blood Drive will be held at ECHS on Tuesday, October 31, from 8:30
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet in the Main Office and a table
will be set up at lunch in front of the Library for sign-ups. 17-year
old students need to fill out a permission slip in order to donate blood.
The entire community is invited, so tell your friends, family, and neighbors!
Thanks for your support!
Operation Homefront San Diego:
Our military families need assistance during the Thanksgiving holiday,
and ECHS would like your help. Our goal is to help needy families by providing
the essentials needed for complete meals. We are asking for boxed and
canned goods as follows:
Seniors:
Boxed potatoes/canned gravy
Juniors: Pies/rolls
Sophomores: Boxed stuffing/canned cranberries/marshmallows
Freshmen: Canned veggies (corn/green beans/yams)
Faculty: Donations to purchase gift certificates for turkeys
Please bring donations to the Main Office.
Attention ECHS Pardners:
If you missed the great Western Roundup we had last month, there is still
an opportunity to get something great and support your school. Please
check the PAB section at the bottom left side of the school’s website
(www.echs.org) for remaining items available for purchase.
Attention:
Winter sports participants (Wrestling, Soccer, Basketball) are reminded
you need to submit your athletic handbook forms to your respective winter
sport coach or turn the forms into the main office by November 13 (first
official day of winter sports practices). Athletes cannot practice unless
an athletic handbook form is on file. If you have any questions, please
contact Mr. Brose.
Girl’s soccer:
This Sunday, Oct. 29 is the next scheduled soccer fundraiser. Many of
you have not signed up for your dates. Please sign up with Mr. Torres
or Mr. Page immediately.
