CHARTER NOTES
Monday thru Wednesday, October 30 to November 1, 2006
Week 12
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!
Senior Dedications:
October 31 is the deadline to make your deposit for senior dedications
in the 2006-2007 yearbook. The due date is final. Late submissions will
not be accepted.
Homecoming:
Attention Charter Students, the "Enchantment Under the Sea"
Homecoming dance is just weeks away. The evening will take place at Church
of the Resurrection on Saturday, November 11 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The
night will be filled with music, dancing and food. Tickets for this spectacular
event will be sold at lunch beginning Monday, October 23. Purchases should
be made in haste, as the initial price of $25 will rise on November 6.
ILP students can buy tickets from the main office. TCP students can only
purchase tickets during lunch. No tickets will be sold to TCP students
in the office. Students wishing to bring a guest must fill out the guest
pass application and have it approved before buying the guest's ticket.
Blood Drive:
Please help support the ECHS Blood Drive sponsored by the Biology II class.
The Blood Drive will be held at ECHS on tomorrow, October 31, from 8:30
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet in the Main Office and a table
will be set up at lunch in front of the Library for sign-ups. 17-year
old students need to fill out a permission slip in order to donate blood.
The entire community is invited, so tell your friends, family, and neighbors!

Operation Homefront San Diego:
Our military families need assistance during the Thanksgiving holiday,
and ECHS would like your help. Our goal is to help needy families by providing
the essentials needed for complete meals. We are asking for boxed and
canned goods as follows:
Seniors: Boxed potatoes/canned gravy
Juniors: Pies/rolls
Sophomores: Boxed stuffing/canned cranberries/marshmallows
Freshmen: Canned veggies (corn/green beans/yams)
Faculty: Donations to purchase gift certificates for turkeys
Please bring donations to the Main Office.
Congratulations Freshmen:
As the winners of the Class Basket Competition (Round-up Fundraiser highest
selling basket), the freshmen won a FREE LUNCH! The PAB will serve you
a special lunch on November 6, so bring your appetite. More information
to follow in the coming days.
Attention Parents & Students:
The California Highway Patrol's "Start Smart Program," which
is a driver’s safety class for new & future teen drivers, will
be at our school for a special PAB meeting. Mark your calendars now for
November 14, from 6:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Watch your mail for a letter &
flyer giving more information.
Attention:
Winter sports participants (Wrestling, Soccer, Basketball) are reminded
you need to submit your athletic handbook forms to your respective winter
sport coach or turn the forms into the main office by November 13 (first
official day of winter sports practices). Athletes cannot practice unless
an athletic handbook form is on file. If you have any questions, please
contact Mr. Brose.
Chess Club:
Join the chess club for a challenging hour in F-203 after school every
Monday.
NHS:
Community service volunteers have been doing a spectacular job every Tuesday!
Thank you! Pizza will be provided at this week’s job site. The next
NHS meeting will be Tuesday, November 7 at 12:30 p.m. in F-203.
CSF:
Don’t miss this week’s meeting! The attendees of the CSF Leadership
Conference will be sharing their experiences and ideas.
Girl’s soccer:
This Sunday, Oct. 29 is the next scheduled soccer fundraiser. Many of
you have not signed up for your dates. Please sign up with Mr. Torres
or Mr. Page immediately.
Cross Country:
Congratulations to the boys’ varsity cross country team who came
in second place in the team scoring at the second Coastal League meet
on Thursday, October 26. Congratulations to Kyle Broxterman, who led the
boys’ team by placing 3 at this meet. The Next cross country meet
is the Coastal League Finals on Friday, November 10, 2:30 p.m. at Kit
Carson Park. All cross country team members need to meet at Kit Carson
Park at 1:15 PM. Go ECHS White Tiger runners!
Volleyball:
On Tuesday, October 31, our White Tiger Volleyball team plays at the San
Pasqual Academy at 3:30 p.m. The TCP volleyball team members will need
to be released from sixth period at 2:15 p.m. Come and cheer our White
Tigers onto victory!
FCA:
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes/Academians meets this Wednesday,
November 1, at lunchtime in Room C-201 (Mr. Brose’s classroom).
Join us for the fun and the fellowship!
