Welcome Back!
I hope all students and faculty enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday and long
weekend! Today we start the last three weeks of the semester, with two
weeks until semester finals. Let’s focus, work hard, and finish
strong!
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!
Teacher In-Service (TCP):
Tuesday, November 28 is a modified day for TCP professional development
training. Student dismissal is at 1:55 p.m.
Note: The modified bell schedule is attached.
College Application Deadline:
Seniors are reminded the application deadline for the California State
and University of California colleges is Thursday, November 30. To complete
applications for a California State University visit www.csumentor.edu.
To complete an application for a University of California campus visit
www.ucop.edu/pathways. If you need an up-to-date copy of your transcript
to accurately complete your applications, see Mr. Grady.
Attention Juniors:
The Escondido Rotary Club is sponsoring two juniors from ECHS to attend
the 2007 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference, to be held
at Idyllwild Pines, April 20-22, 2007. RYLA is a program that focuses
on developing leadership and professional skills. Please review the requirements
and program on-line at www.rylaconference.com. Please see Mr. Grady in
the Student Services Center if you have any questions.
ASB Elections (TCP):
Are you interested in being an ASB officer? The officers assume leadership
of ASB, deciding on the events that ASB will sponsor each year. Sophomores
and juniors can run to be Secretary or Treasurer. Only juniors may campaign
for Vice President and President. All candidates must have a 3.0 GPA as
well as participate in an interview and recommendation process. If you
are interested, sign up with Mr. Takagi in Room E100 by lunchtime on Friday,
December 1st. No candidates will be considered after the deadline.
Attention TCP Students (TCP):
The Parent Advisory Board invites you to the Annual Christmas Dinner/Dance
on Thursday, December 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Escondido
Country Club. Tickets go on sale today for $10 and will be available at
lunchtime in front of the Library. This is a student/teacher event and
guests are not invited. Please buy your tickets early as space is limited.
Tickets will go on sale to ILP students beginning December 6.
Lockers (TCP):
TCP students are reminded that lockers must be locked at all times. Failure
to comply with this policy will result in loss of locker privileges.
Europe Trip (TCP):
Those who are still considering the fantastic spring trip to Eastern Europe
with the incredible Mr. Halling (a highly trained travel specialist) need
to know that if they have not yet signed up the tour price will increase
on December 1, 2006. See Mr. Halling immediately with your questions.
Sign up now and avoid the price increase.
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Academians):
Meetings are every Wednesday at lunch in Room C-201 (Mr. Brose’s
classroom). Come and share with us!
CSF:
The next CSF meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 5 at 12:30 p.m.
in F-203. See Ms. Rittenhouse if you need to sign up for community service.
NHS:
Don’t miss this Tuesday’s all-member meeting! Reminder: All
money and/or chocolate must be turned in to Ms. Rittenhouse no later than
1 pm Tuesday.
Chess Club:
What are you doing Monday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.? How about matching
your wits against some of Charter’s finest chess minds? Chess club
meets every Monday in F-203.
Golf Team:
There is a mandatory meeting for all students signed up for golf on Wednesday,
November 29 at 3:05 p.m. in room G103 (Mr. Johnson's Room). Come prepared
to commit for the Charger games fundraiser.
Boys’ Basketball:
Tuesday, November 28, the JV basketball team travels to Midway Baptist
for a 4:30 p.m. contest. The TCP JV basketball team will be released from
their sixth period class at 2:00 p.m. On Wednesday, November 29, the Varsity
team will travel to Warner Springs High School for a 7:00 p.m. game. Go
ECHS White Tiger basketball!
Girls’ Basketball:
Today, November 27, the Varsity team will travel to Valley Center High
School for a 7:00 p.m. contest. On Wednesday, November 29, the girls’
Varsity team will travel to San Dieguito Academy for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

Girls’ Soccer:
Tuesday, November 28, the girls’ soccer team plays at home against
Horizon at 3:30 p.m. on the ECHS athletic field. Go ECHS White Tiger Soccer!
Boys’ Soccer:
Wednesday, November 29, the boys’ soccer team plays at home against
Canyon Crest Academy at 3:30 p.m. on the ECHS athletic field. Go ECHS
White Tiger Soccer!
Wrestling:
Tuesday, November 28, the freshmen/JV members will travel up to Valley
Center High School for a 4 team meet. The team will leave school at 3:00
p.m. Wrestling will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the team will return to school
by 9:00 p.m. Go ECHS White Tigers!
