Welcome Back!

I hope all students and faculty enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday and long weekend! Today we start the last three weeks of the semester, with two weeks until semester finals. Let’s focus, work hard, and finish strong!

ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!

Teacher In-Service (TCP):
Tuesday, November 28 is a modified day for TCP professional development training. Student dismissal is at 1:55 p.m.
Note: The modified bell schedule is attached.

College Application Deadline:
Seniors are reminded the application deadline for the California State and University of California colleges is Thursday, November 30. To complete applications for a California State University visit www.csumentor.edu. To complete an application for a University of California campus visit www.ucop.edu/pathways. If you need an up-to-date copy of your transcript to accurately complete your applications, see Mr. Grady.

Attention Juniors:
The Escondido Rotary Club is sponsoring two juniors from ECHS to attend the 2007 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference, to be held at Idyllwild Pines, April 20-22, 2007. RYLA is a program that focuses on developing leadership and professional skills. Please review the requirements and program on-line at www.rylaconference.com. Please see Mr. Grady in the Student Services Center if you have any questions.

ASB Elections (TCP):
Are you interested in being an ASB officer? The officers assume leadership of ASB, deciding on the events that ASB will sponsor each year. Sophomores and juniors can run to be Secretary or Treasurer. Only juniors may campaign for Vice President and President. All candidates must have a 3.0 GPA as well as participate in an interview and recommendation process. If you are interested, sign up with Mr. Takagi in Room E100 by lunchtime on Friday, December 1st. No candidates will be considered after the deadline.

Attention TCP Students (TCP):
The Parent Advisory Board invites you to the Annual Christmas Dinner/Dance on Thursday, December 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Escondido Country Club. Tickets go on sale today for $10 and will be available at lunchtime in front of the Library. This is a student/teacher event and guests are not invited. Please buy your tickets early as space is limited. Tickets will go on sale to ILP students beginning December 6.

Lockers (TCP):
TCP students are reminded that lockers must be locked at all times. Failure to comply with this policy will result in loss of locker privileges.

Europe Trip (TCP):
Those who are still considering the fantastic spring trip to Eastern Europe with the incredible Mr. Halling (a highly trained travel specialist) need to know that if they have not yet signed up the tour price will increase on December 1, 2006. See Mr. Halling immediately with your questions. Sign up now and avoid the price increase.
