gift, with a minimum value of $10; dress code is semi formal, Charter
appropriate, but no jeans, denim or t-shirts; all students must be picked-up
at 10:00 p.m., since this is a school event, students are not allowed

food, dance, & have a great time! See you there at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday
December 21.
Community Service:
All community service hours for the semester must be reported by Monday,
December 18. Remember four (4) hours of community service are expected
each semester. Your work in this area is important and is used when considering
scholarship and other recommendations. Community service report forms
are available in the Main Office. Note: Students are encouraged to participate
in community service during Christmas Vacation. Community service completed
during break and submitted upon return in January will be recorded as
second semester hours.
Scholarships:
Who wants free money to pay for college? Please stop by the Student Services
Office for information on recently posted scholarships. We have received
scholarships from the North County Italian Association, Kentucky Fried
Chicken, Ford, the Italian Catholic Federation, Southern California Mothers
of Twins Clubs, Wal-Mart, and the California Lions Clubs, just to name
a few. Insider info: Since we have so many academic achievers at ECHS,
if you apply for a scholarship, you have a good chance of winning.
Student Life Off Campus -
Pictures Needed! The yearbook staff would like images of ECHS students
"living life" outside of school. Ideas for images include but
are not limited to: Crusin' Grand, community service, employment, football
games (or other ECHS athletic events,) college visits, vacations, Etc…Please
bring the images to Mr. Krause on a CD or a memory stick on Tuesdays or
Thursdays after school, 3:00-3:30 p.m., in Room G103.
Support Our Troops!
There are thousands of men and women serving overseas in the military
during the holidays. Because of their service, many of these brave Americans
will not be able to celebrate Christmas with their families. To show our
support, ECHS plans to donate calling cards to deployed military personnel
so they can call loved ones during the holidays. Please help by donating
money (minimum $5) to the Main Office. ECHS will purchase pre-paid phone
cards in bulk, and the American Red Cross will distribute the cards to
deployed military personnel. The deadline to donate money is Thursday,
December 14.
End of Semester:
This is the last week of the semester prior to semester finals. Ensure
all work, reports, etc. are submitted and you devote enough time to prepare
for your exams. Comprehensive semester finals will be given on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday, December 19, 20, and 21. The schedule for semester
finals is attached.
