CHARTER NOTES
Monday thru Wednesday, January 29 to January 31, 2007
Week 4
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!
Modified Day (TCP):
Wednesday, January 31 is a modified day with student dismissal at 2:00
p.m. Please see the attached schedule for more details.
Note: Teachers, please remind your blended students of the schedule change.
Board Meeting:
The ECHS Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, January 31 at 5:30
p.m. in the library. The meeting will be followed by a lottery for students
interested in attending the Traditional Classroom Program next school
year. All parents are invited to attend.
Attention Students (TCP):
Please see Ms. Escalona in the office if you did not receive an academic
pin or the correct pin during the assembly. All students who earned a
3.5 or higher should have received an academic pin. Today is the deadline
to pick up you pin.
Seniors:
If you haven’t ordered your cap and gown for graduation yet, your
time is running short. Please see Ms. Escalona in the TCP office for an
order form by February 2.
Lunch Menu:
The Snack & Deli introduces a “Hot Meal” dish for your
enjoyment. The “Hot Meal” will be offered once every other
week beginning February 2. Please find the menu and sign-up sheet in the
Student Union. Don’t forget to reserve and pre-pay for your meal
on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Leadership Development Opportunity:
All juniors interested in developing their leadership skills are invited
to apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA). Two juniors from
ECHS will be selected to attend the 2007 RYLA Conference. The all-expenses
paid leadership training program will be held in Idyllwild Pines from
April 20 -April 22. Take advantage of this opportunity to interact with
community leaders and other outstanding juniors from San Diego County.
See Mr. Grady as soon as possible for details. Completed applications
and a short essay are due no later than Friday, February 2.
Chess:
The Charter Chess Club will meet in Ms. Rittenhouse's classroom (F203)
Monday at 3 p.m. Bring a friend and experience the joy of chess!
Boys’ Basketball:
Next scheduled game: Friday, February 2, ECHS @ Borrego Springs JV, 4:30
PM. TCP students will be released from class at 2:00 PM. Go White Tiger
cagers!
Girls’ Basketball:
Next scheduled game: Tuesday, January 30, ECHS vs. H-Town Academy JV,
3:45 PM, Valley High School. Go White Tiger cagers!
Boys’ Soccer:
Next scheduled games: Monday, January 29, ECHS vs. High Tech High, 3:30
