ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!

NHS:
At last Wednesday’s induction ceremony, twenty new members were inducted into the National Honor Society. Those honorees were: Lacey Jae Buquet, Emily Childers, Amelia Morley, Marissa Navarro, Steph Rittenhouse, Valerie Stewart, Emily Liles, Jeremy Tanksley, Stephanie Slattum, Matthew Walsh, Megan Ziegler, Marissa Serrato,
Lorronishae Escalona, Patience Gray, Sarah Huffman, Rachel Lucas, Katie Rideout, Sarika Mimura, and Jacinto Dominguez. Congratulations to all our new members!

Progress Reports:
Friday, March 16 is the end of the second grading period. Progress reports will be distributed on Thursday, March 22.

Join the Round Up!
All parents are invited to our first "Western Round up the Funds" Auction/Dinner Fundraiser meeting. We're looking forward to a very successful event, but we need your help putting it together. All levels of participation are available. Join the volunteer round up on March 20, at 7:00pm in the library. For more information please call or email Pati Navarro at 740-5943 or roundup@cox.net.

New Scholarship Postings:
Four new scholarships are posted on the bulletin board in the library. Seniors are encouraged to stop by the library to view the criteria for scholarships sponsored by the Escondido Republican Women, Altrusa International of Escondido (a women’s service organization), California School for Culinary Arts, and California Alarm Association (for dependents of law enforcement and fire service personnel).

CAHSEE Testing!
(TCP) Students are reminded that ECHS will administer the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) on Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21. Students must pass the CAHSEE in order to receive a high school diploma.

Blood Drive:
Support the honors biology class by signing up for the blood drive. Sign-ups will be held this week in the main office and during lunch in front of the library. The blood drive is March 13. See Ms. Wood in the main office for more information. Thanks for your support!

Job Opportunity:
Are you a senior and experienced swimmer looking for summer employment? Murray Callan Swim Schools, located in San Marcos, is looking for summer swim instructors. Wages start at $11.00 per hour. Interested students should pick up a flyer in the library or main office.

Prom:
007 Prom tickets will go on sale again the weeks of March 19-30 for the price of $60. You won’t want to miss this night to remember!
Note: All students bringing a guest to prom must have a completed guest pass application signed by an administrator/director of the guest’s school (this signature is not required if guest has graduated from high school) and by the students’ ECHS director (TCP or ILP) before they can purchase tickets. Guest passes and prom packets for ILP students are available in the front office from Mrs. Brooks. ILP students need to give their completed prom packet to their teacher of record promptly. The price of the ticket is determined by the date when the completed packet is submitted to the ILP teacher.

NHS Meeting:
The first meeting of the new NHS year will be held this Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in F-203.

NHS Scholarship:
Applications for the ECHS NHS Honor Award are available for seniors in NHS who have participated in our group service project. See Ms. Rittenhouse for more information or application materials.

CSF:
The next all-member meeting is Tuesday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m.

Chess Club:
The Escondido Charter High School Chess Club is now an official club under the United States Chess Federation. This means we can begin holding official chess tournaments against other high schools. Anyone smart enough to play the King of Games is invited to play chess on Mondays at 3:00 p.m. in F203. See Chess Club President David Benefield for further information.

Boys’ Soccer Awards Night:
The awards banquet for boys’ soccer is on Tuesday, March 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Student Union. All players and their parents are invited to celebrate an awesome season. Contact Coach Cheney for more information. Go White Tiger soccer!

Boys’ Basketball Awards Night:
The awards banquet for boys’ basketball is on Thursday, March 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Student Union. All players and their parents are invited to celebrate a great season. Contact Coach Tanksley for more information. Go White Tiger basketball!

Academic League:
Last week’s match results: Congratulations to the freshmen team, who won on a last second comeback against Orange Glen last Thursday, March 8! Congratulations to the JV for their victory against Orange Glen! Congratulations to the Varsity Lady academians for their great efforts against Orange Glen! This week’s match: Thursday, March 15, ECHS @ Westview. Freshmen begin @ 6:30 p.m., JV begins @ 7:00 p.m., and Varsity begins @ 7:40 p.m. Go White Tiger academians!

Baseball:
