Escondido Charter High School
"Education Is Our Business"
CHARTER NOTES
Monday thru Wednesday, March 19 to March 21, 2007
Week 11
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!
CAHSEE Testing:
The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) will be administered on
Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21. Students must pass the CHSEE
to receive a high school diploma. The CHSEE consists of an English language
arts exam on Tuesday and a mathematics exam on Wednesday. All TCP sophomores
will be assigned to a specific testing room. ILP students should request
additional information from their Teacher of Record.
Dance:
The Luminous Essence of Phosphorescence Dance will take place on March
23 in the Student Union. The dance will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
and tickets will be sold at the door for $8. There will be a professional
DJ and the new Charter dance rules will be in action! Make sure to wear
white since the whole room will be lit with black lights. If you do happen
to forget any of this information, you can check out Wikipedia.org and
search for ECHSdance (all one word).
Dress Code!
As the weather warms up, female students are reminded that shorts and
skirts must be at least mid-thigh in length and tops must cover the shoulder
with no part of the undergarment showing. In addition, bare midriffs are
not permitted. Students who violate this policy will be disciplined accordingly.
Join the Round Up!
All parents are invited to our first "Western Round up the Funds"
Auction/Dinner Fundraiser meeting. We're looking forward to a very successful
event, but we need your help putting it together. All levels of participation
are available. Join the volunteer round up on March 20, at 7:00pm in the
library. For more information please call or email Pati Navarro at 740-5943
or roundup@cox.net.
Prom:
007 Prom tickets will go on sale again this week (March 19-23) at lunch
in front of the library for the price of $60. This price will continue
next week (March 26-30). You won’t want to miss this night to remember!
Staff and Parents:
The 2007 Prom Committee of Escondido Charter High School requests the
honor of your presence at “Diamonds are Forever” on May 12,
2007 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the Bristol Hotel in downtown San
Diego. We need chaperones and Blackjack dealers in order to ensure the
success of Prom 2007. Your prompt reply would be most helpful. If you
are interested, please contact Mrs. Soule at (760) 737-3154 x250 or lsoule@echs.org.
