CHARTER NOTES
Thursday and Friday, March 29 & March 30, 2007

Week 12

Registration for 2007/2008 School Year:
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are reminded that your completed registration packet for next year with the course offering form is due this Friday, March 30. Please remind your parents and return your completed registration packet to the Main Office by the deadline. Please see Mrs. McCrory if you have questions regarding course selection.

Senior Portfolio Deadline:
All seniors are reminded three exemplary works for your portfolio are due to your mentor no later than this Friday, March 30. Select completed and graded assignments that reflect your best work in different subject areas.

Scholarships:
Three new scholarships sponsored by the Escondido Art Association, Consuelo Masonic Lodge, and United States Institute of Peace are posted on the bulletin board in the library. Take advantage of these opportunities to earn cash for college.

Charter Newspaper:
Thank you to all who participated in the vote to name the future Charter newspaper. The Eye of the Tiger beat Only at Charter by a mere 11 votes. Now, if you like to write, design, draw, layout, interview, advertise, or take photographs maybe you would be interested in being a part of the newspaper. There will be an informational meeting at lunch, Friday, April 20, in Mrs. Soule's room C102. Come check it out even if you are not 100% sure you want to be a part of it!

Prom:
2007 - 007 Prom tickets are on sale for $60 at lunch in front of the library today and tomorrow. The price will go up to $70 for the last week of ticket sales (April 9-13). You won’t want to miss this night to remember!
Note: All students bringing a guest to prom must have a completed guest pass application signed by an administrator/director of the guest’s school (this signature is not required if guest has graduated from high school) and by the students’ ECHS director (TCP or ILP) before they can purchase tickets. Guest passes and prom packets for ILP students are available in the front office from Ms. Brooks. ILP students need to give their completed prom packet to their teacher of record promptly. The price of the ticket is determined by the date when the completed packet is submitted to the ILP teacher.

Staff and Parents:
The 2007 Prom Committee of Escondido Charter High School requests the honor of your presence at “Diamonds are Forever” on May 12, 2007 from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the Bristol Hotel in downtown San Diego. We need chaperones and Blackjack dealers in order to ensure the success of Prom 2007. Your prompt reply would be most helpful.
