Week 17
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Wednesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library!
Last call for prom tickets!
Today, Monday May 7, 2007, is the last day to buy prom tickets. After
today, tickets will no longer be available for purchase and no exceptions
will be made. Please contact Mrs. Childs directly in C100 by 4:00 pm today
in order to purchase tickets ($70). Come buy your ticket so you won’t
miss this night to remember!
Note: ILP students, today is the last day to give prom packets to Mrs.
Brooks in the front office. She will no longer accept them after 4:00
p.m. today.
007 Prom:
TCP students, who purchased prom tickets, please come by the prom table
on Tuesday or Wednesday at lunch to pick up prom invitations and to make
nominations for the TCP prom court. Even if you are coming as the guest
of another TCP student, you should still pick up your invitation so you
can make your nominations for prom court. Please remember you must vote
when you pick up your invitation. Ballots will not be given out at any
other time, and each person may vote only once for each royal title.
Note: ILP students who purchased prom tickets, the invitations were delivered
to your teachers of record on Thursday May 3. Please see them to get your
invitations. Nominations for the ILP prom court will take place at prom,
so please remember to do that when you sign in on May 12, 2007.
AP Exams:
The 2007 AP Exams will be administered on Wednesday, May 9 (Calculus),
and Thursday, May 10 (English Literature), Friday, May 11 (U.S. History),
and Wednesday, May 16 (English Language). Students registered to take
an AP Exam are reminded to report to room D202 (upstairs in the library)
at 8 a.m. on their assigned testing day. If you have questions, please
see your AP teacher or Mrs. McCrory.
Wild Animal Park:
The Wild Animal Park is hosting a food service job fair on Thursday, May
10 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested students should pick up a detailed
flyer in the Library or Main Office.
San Diego Beauty Academy Senior Open House:
San Diego Beauty Academy, located 13266 Poway Road, is hosting an open
house for seniors interested in the field of Cosmetology. The open house
will be held on Thursday, May 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Students
planning to attend must RSVP. Interested students should pick up a flyer
in the library or main office for more detailed information.
Yearbook:
Buy your yearbook now for the low price of $65. This year’s yearbook
is fantastic and you don’t want to miss out. Mr. Krause will take
orders each day after school in G103. Please make checks payable to “ECHS
ASB.”
Hold Their Feet To The Fire XIII:
If you are a junior or a senior and would like to participate in a “Hold
Their Feet to the Fire XIII” trip to Sacramento from June 3-5, 2007
with Roger Hedgecock, please plan to meet with Coach Snyder during lunchtime
on Wednesday, May 9, in Room E101. At the meeting, Coach will cover the
details of the trip and take sign-ups.
WANTED!!! All Parents!!!
The 2007 PAB/Athletic second annual “Round Up the Funds” Fundraiser
is Saturday, September 29, 2007. Your help is needed in order to make
this event the most successful yet! Whether you are willing to serve as
a committee chairperson or as a member of a committee, all levels of participation
are available. This event is the biggest fundraising event held at ECHS.
Proceeds will benefit Athletics, the Cheer and Dance Teams and the PAB.
If you are interested in helping with this event, please contact Pati

Attention All Seniors:
Grad Night tickets and permission slips for Disneyland will be available
during lunch on May 14, 15 and 16. Tickets are $50 each and checks can
be made payable to ECHS PAB. Grad Night is May 31 from 9:00 p.m. to 7:30

Attention Newspaper Staff:
Starting today, Monday, May 7, we meet both Mondays and Wednesdays from
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in C101. Please be prompt. Deadlines loom.
NHS:
The first meeting with our newly elected officers will be Tuesday at 12:30
in F-203.
Soak Up Some Culture!
Tickets for the Mainly Mozart concert at the California Center for the
Arts are being sold for just $35 each (regularly $45) until May 22. See
Ms. Rittenhouse or any member of NHS or CSF for details and to buy tickets.

Football Spring Training:
Football Spring Training practices will be held from Monday, May 14 through
Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21-Friday, May 25, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.,
on the ECHS soccer field. All participants must turn in their athletic
handbook paperwork to Coach Rea, in order to participate in these practices.
