Week 18

Community Cleanup:
Don’t forget about this year’s Spring Cleanup along East Valley Parkway. The cleanup will be held on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Those planning to participate should meet at ECHS no later than 8:45 a.m. This is an excellent community service opportunity for ECHS students. All parents, students, and staff are invited to attend. Cleaning equipment, pizza, and drinks will be provided. See you there!

Our Town Performance:
Take a trip to Grovers Corners, New Hampshire in the year 1901. Come and see Our Town written by Thornton Wilder. This spectacular performance by the drama class will take place on May 17, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m., with an additional special matinee performance on Saturday, May 19 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Do not miss this deeply moving production.

Community Service Hours Deadline(TCP):
The last day to submit community service hours for the second semester is Friday, May 25. To ensure your hours are recorded, turn in a completed and signed Community Service Record Form to the main office by the deadline.

Attention TCP Seniors!!
This is Your Last Chance!! Grad Night ticket sales have been extended to Monday,
May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 at lunchtime. You must purchase your ticket and return a parent/guardian signed permission slip by May 22 or you will not be able to attend Grad Night at Disneyland. Any questions, or if you are NOT attending Grad Night, please contact Keri Baez at 760-855-2293 or keribz@iwon.com.

Film Festival:
Come one and all to the First Annual ECHS Student Film Festival. The festival will be held Friday, May 18 during lunch and after school from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Room G103. This is an opportunity for everyone to see the best that the Digital Video Class has to offer. Students will present a variety of short films, including comedies and action films. Student work will be judged by three video production professionals who work in the broadcast industry. Don’t miss out!

Attention:
All students wanting to go on next years tour to Germany, Italy and Austria. If you sign up before the end of this month, you will avoid a price increase scheduled for June 1. Contact Mr. Halling if you have questions. Sign up now to save at least $100 before the price increases.

Do you need PE credits?
A Summer ISPE meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 3:10 p.m. in room F202.

Yearbook:
Buy your yearbook now for the low price of $65. You don’t want to miss out! Mr. Krause will take orders each day after school in G103. Please make checks payable to “ECHS ASB.”

Soak Up Some Culture!
Tickets for the Mainly Mozart concert at the California Center for the Arts are being sold for just $35 each (regularly $45) until May 22. See Ms. Rittenhouse or any member of NHS or CSF for details and to buy tickets.

Prom Committee:
Please come to Mrs. Soule’s room today (5/17/07) at lunch for a celebration and reflection on Prom 007.

Baseball:

Tuesday, May 15, Santa Fe Christian-18-ECHS-0. Upcoming game: Today, May 17, ECHS @ Calvin Christian, 4:00 p.m. (Last game of the season?). TCP early release time will be 2:30 p.m. Go White Tiger baseball!

Football Spring Training:
Football Spring Training practices will be held from Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21-Friday, May 25, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., on the ECHS soccer field. All participants must turn in their athletic handbook paperwork to Coach Rea, in order to participate in these practices. Contact Coach Brose for more information. Go White Tiger football!

Track Awards Banquet:
The track team will complete their inaugural season by having their awards banquet on Friday, May 18, 6:00 p.m., in the Student Union. All track team members and their families are invited to this event. Please bring your uniforms with you, and give them to Coach Wisden or Coach Broxterman. Contact Coach Wisden if you have any questions. Go White Tiger track stars!

Students interested in Cross Country for 2007 season: If you would like to run on our cross country team for the 2007 season, please contact Coach Emily Wisden @ 760-522-0493, or email her @ coachwisdenechs@yahoo.com. Coach Wisden will provide you with a summer work out routine, which will help you get in shape for the upcoming season. Go White Tiger runners!
