CHARTER NOTES
Tuesday thru Friday, May 29 to June 1, 2007
Week 20
Semester Finals:
Second semester final exams will be given today, Wednesday, and Thursday,
May 29 – 31. The finals for periods 1 and 2 will be today, for periods
3 and 4 on Wednesday, and for periods 5 and 6 on Thursday. Dismissal will
be at 12:00 p.m.
Note: The modified schedule is attached.
Books and Lockers:
1. Books: All textbooks must be checked in today, Wednesday, and Thursday,
May 29, 30, and 31 at the end of the school day. Seniors must return all
books by 1:00 p.m. on May 30. Parents will be billed for all missing and
damaged books.
2. Lockers: All lockers must be emptied, cleaned out, and locked shut
at the end of the school day on Thursday, May 31. Parents will be billed
for missing locks.
Last Day of School (TCP):
Friday, June 1 is the last day of school and filled with several important
events.
1. Scholars Breakfast- All students with a 3.5 GPA for both semesters
will be invited to attend the Scholar’s Breakfast.
2. Awards Assembly- All students are required to attend the Awards Assembly
on Friday, June 1. Please report to your first period class at 10:00 a.m.
for roll call.
3. Graduation- Commencement for the TCP will be held on the athletic field
on Friday, June 1. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. and all seniors
are requested to be present at the field no later than 6:15 p.m.
TCP Grad Practice:
All seniors planning on graduating this spring are reminded to attend
the mandatory graduation practice on Thursday, May 31 on the athletic
field. Practice begins at 10:15 a.m. Please be prompt. Students who do
not participate in the graduation practice will not be permitted to walk
at graduation.
Attention ALL TCP Seniors:
The PAB is sponsoring a breakfast on Friday, June 1 at 8:00 a.m. in the
Student Union for all TCP seniors, even for those seniors who do not attend
Grad Night at Disneyland.
TCP Seniors Attending Grad Night:
Please arrive at the school at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 31. Remember
to follow the Disneyland dress code and other guidelines as discussed
in the printed material that you received.
Lost-and-Found:
Students are reminded to pick up lost items from the ECHS lost-and-found.
The lost-and-found is located in the TCP administrative office, across
from the main office. Items not retrieved by Friday, June 1 will be donated
to a charitable organization.
Movie Night:
Do you want to have a good time? Come and enjoy a fun night of movies
and games. Relax with your friends with games and ice cream. Be sure to
bring your yearbooks for your friends to sign. Come on May 31 from 6:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. here at the school, and guess what? It’s free!

Community Service Opportunity:
ECHS students are invited to participate in this year’s Escondido
Crop Walk on June 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Escondido CROP Walk
is a community service event designed to help raise money to combat poverty.
Money raised at the event will go to Interfaith Community Services and
the Church World Services to help provide sustainable food and water solutions
for impoverished communities throughout the world. The walk is a fun event
that families can do together. Register at the event for ECHS. If you
need additional information, please contact David or Julia Swain or call
Valerie Swain at 760-390-4961.
Summer School (TCP):
Summer school will be held from June 11 to July 20. Students will meet
from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily and may complete a maximum of two semesters
of work (10 credits). All students who have NOT successfully completed
all courses for their current grade level or who are credit deficient
should attend summer school. Please see Mrs. McCrory if you have any questions
about summer school.
NHS & CSF:
Don’t miss the annual end-of-the year pizza party for all members
and weed-pickers (you know who you are) to be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m.
in & around F-203. Our final round of community service at Town &
Country will follow the festivities. We’ll plan to be finished by
3:00 p.m. Bring party food!
Golf Awards Banquet:
All golfers and their families are invited to attend the golf awards banquet
on Wednesday, May 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the student union. Contact Coach
Johns or Coach Johns for more information. Congratulations, White Tiger
Golf Team!
Softball Awards Banquet:
All softball players and their families are invited to attend the softball
awards banquet on Saturday, June 2, at 11:00 a.m., in the student union.
Make sure to bring in your uniforms. Contact Coach Cazares for more information.

Students interested in Cross Country for 2007 season: If you would like
to run on our cross country team for the 2007 season, please contact Coach

Coach Wisden will provide you with a summer work out routine, which will
help you get in shape for the upcoming season. Go White Tiger runners!
