Week 2
Back-to-School
Night:
All parents of TCP and Blended students are invited to Back-to-School
Night on Thursday, August 23. Please assemble on the Commons by 6:00
p.m. to kick-off the evening. We hope you take this opportunity to meet
your student’s teachers, learn about course objectives, and ask
questions. See you there!
Parking
Permits:
All ILP and TCP students parking a car at school must register or re-register
their vehicle and obtain a parking permit prior to September 7. Registration
forms may be picked up at the Main Office. A parking permit will be issued
when the registration form is completed and returned to the Main Office.
After September 7, vehicles without parking permits will be given one
warning and then booted.
Note:
All staff are reminded to re-register their vehicles and obtain a new
parking permit by Friday, September 7.
Student
Handbooks (TCP):
All TCP students were issued a Student Handbook during first period today,
August 16. After reading the handbook, both the student and the parent
should sign the Acknowledgment Form and return it to the first period
teacher no later than Tuesday, August 21.
Saxon
Film Club:
This November, the legendary and uniquely Charterian tradition of Saxon
Day will experience a major upgrade—to the brand new theater! The
equally legendary and uniquely Charterian Saxon Film Club is planning
a spectacular performance for the occasion, and you can be a part of it!
Come to the Saxon Film Club’s first official meeting of the year
this Wednesday, August 22, at 3:00 p.m. in Mr. Endermann’s room,
F-100, at which we will discuss the Saxon Day performance as well as the
club’s other activities, which involve the production of movies
about the FanSaxon 4.9 and other mathematical superheroes and supervillains.
If you are interested in any aspect of production—acting, costume
and set design, film editing and special effects, music, etc., come to
the meeting to find out more! If you have any questions, you can ask Mr.
Endermann, Mr. Panlasigui, or your friendly neighborhood Saxon Film Club
member!
