Assembly (TCP):
There will be an assembly today, September 27 to celebrate the grand opening
of the American Spirit Theater and Gymnasium. All teachers are requested
to escort their 6th period students directly to the theater at 1:05 p.m.

TCP Teacher Luncheon (TCP):
Friday, September 28 is a modified school day with student dismissal
at 2:55 p.m.
Note: The modified schedule is attached. TCP teachers, don’t forget
to attend the Culture Club potluck on Friday during lunch!
Grand Opening:
All parents, students, staff, and community members are invited to the
grand opening of the American Spirit Theater and Gymnasium on Thursday,
September 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“Round Up” Time is Here:
We have a few tickets left for this fun-filled, student-enriching event.
All proceeds will go to help all of our Charter students either through
sports or through PAB sponsored events such as the Christmas Dinner
& Dance, Grad Night and College Scholarships. We will be selling
tickets after school on Thursday and Friday and in the office. Don’t
be left out. The fundraiser is on Saturday, September 29 from 5:00 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m. and includes a dinner buffet along with a silent auction,
a live auction and a 50/50 raffle. Any questions, call Dana Staebell,
Ticket Sales Chair, at 760-839-3450.
Drivers Ed (TCP):
Drivers Ed will be offered before school on Thursday mornings from 7:15
a.m. to 7:55 a.m. Students who wish to enroll must (1) have at least
a 2.0 GPA, (2) have been 15 years old on or before June 13, 2007, (3)
have parent permission to take the course, and (4) be one of the first
20 to register for the course. Students can obtain a registration form
from Mr. Webber in Room F203. The first class session will be held on
September 27. Remember, the course is limited to 20 students.
PSAT:
Only 1 seat left! Juniors and sophomores should see Mrs. McCrory or
Mrs. Endermann with a $12 payment (cash or check made payable to ECHS)
to register. Note: The PSAT Exam will be administered on Wednesday,
October 17.
Parents Needed:
Parent volunteers are needed to help with the September 29 fundraiser
as well as PAB sponsored events throughout the school year. If you have
questions, please contact Frank Rumbawa, PAB president, at 760-739-9102.
TCP & ILP Seniors:
The prom committee needs your submissions for our first annual Senior
Sweatshirt Design Contest. The winner of this contest will receive two
free tickets to prom. You must submit the designs for the back, hood,
and front-left “pocket” area on 8 ½ x 11 sheets of
paper, and you may only use two colors (selected from maroon, white,
and black). Designs and color selection for the sweatshirt (whichever
color you do not select for the graphics) are due by 3:00 on Friday,
October 12, 2007. TCP seniors should make submissions to Mrs. Childs
in C100, and ILP students should make submissions to Mrs. Brooks in
the front office. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Childs

TCP & ILP Juniors & Seniors:
It’s prom time again! If you want to be involved in making Prom
2008 a night to remember, then come join the prom committee every Thursday
at lunch in Mrs. Soule’s room (C102).
Civil Air Patrol:
The organizational meeting of the Escondido Charter High School White
Tiger Flight of the Civil Air Patrol will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, September
25, in Room B101 (next to the ILP Math Center). Major McClure of the
Civil Air Patrol will outline the Civil Air Patrol program for all interested
students and parents.
CSF:
Cast your ballot for CSF officers! All members should have received
a ballot, to be put in the box in the library ballot box by 4:00 p.m.
today. The first CSF meeting to be hosted by our new officers will be
on Tuesday, September 25 at 12:30 p.m. in F203.
Cross Country Practice Schedule:
The cross country team will complete the following schedule: Monday-
Intervals, Tuesday- Strength training, Wednesday- Off/Cross Training,
Thursday- Hills/Tempo, and Friday- Strength and Conditioning. All practices
are 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., and students will meet in the commons area

ECHS White Tiger football:
This Friday, September 28, our White Tigers travel down to Francis Parker
to battle against the Lancers. The JV game begins at 4:00 p.m., so the
TCP JV team members will be released at 2:00 p.m. The varsity game begins
at 7:00 p.m., so all varsity players need to be in the Student Union
by 4:00 p.m. Both teams will travel by bus to Francis Parker HS (See
the football page of the school website for directions). Go White Tiger
Football!
Volleyball:
Come and watch our awesome volleyball team compete against Calvin Christian
varsity team on Thursday, September 27, 3:45 p.m., at the YMCA (North
Broadway Ave in Escondido). Next game: Monday, October 1, ECHS @ Sierra
Madre Academy, 3:30 PM. TCP early release time: 2:00 PM. Go White Tiger

Boys’ Soccer Meeting:
If you are interested in being a part of the 2007-2008 White Tiger soccer
team, come to the informational meeting on Monday, October 1, 4:00 p.m.,
in Room C-201. Coach Cheney will share important information about the

Wrestling Informational Meeting:
If you are interested in participating on the ECHS wrestling team, plan
to attend the informational meeting on Thursday, October 11 (Please
note date change.) 3:05 p.m. in room C-201. Come and hear all the essential

ECHS Roller Hockey game:
Today, September 27, Our White Tiger roller hockey team begins its inaugural
season by battling against the Poway Titans third team. The game begins
at 6:10 p.m. at the Escondido Sports Center (3315 Bear Valley Parkway
in Escondido). Next game: Sunday, 7, ECHS vs. Escondido Cougars. Go
