ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday. All ISPE
logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library.
Senior Portfolio Deadline:
All seniors are reminded a final draft of your College Application is
due to your mentor no later than this Friday, November 2.
Homecoming Dance:
Attention Homecoming attendees. Due to recent events, the date of Homecoming
has changed from November 3 to November 17. It will still be at the
same time, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are on sale this week for
$40. Also, if you plan to order pictures from the photographer at the
dance, please pick up an order form at the ticket table next week.
Halloween:
In order to avoid creating distractions to the learning environment,
students are not permitted to wear costumes on campus. Students who
dress up or wear costumes will be considered to be in violation of the
dress code.
The Book Fair is coming!
Bring your friends and family to the Escondido Barnes and Noble to benefit
ECHS. The Book Fair is Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. Any purchase at Barnes and Noble when accompanied by our voucher
will give a percentage of purchase to ECHS. This includes Starbucks
items, books, and other purchases. Vouchers and flyers are available
in the main office or library. BUY BOOKS!
Employment Opportunity:
The San Diego Wild Animal Park is hiring seasonal workers in the visitor
assistance and food service departments. Students interested in working
during November through early January should pick up a flyer in the
main office or library with more detailed information on how to apply.
District College Fair:
We are uncertain at this time whether or not the district college fair
previously scheduled for Monday, October 22 has been re-scheduled for
a later date. An announcement will be posted in Charter Notes when updated
information becomes available.
UCSD and UCR Admissions Visits:
Mrs. McCrory is working with the admissions representatives from UC
San Diego and UC Riverside to re-schedule visits to the ECHS campus.

Parent Advisory Meeting:
The Parent Advisory Meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. tonight has been
cancelled. The California Highway Patrol's Start Smart program, a driver
safety education class which targets new and future licensed teenage
drivers between the age of 15 - 19 and their parents will be rescheduled.
CSF:
This week’s bake sale has been postponed. More details will follow.

TCP & ILP Juniors & Seniors:
It’s prom time again! If you want to be involved in making Prom
2008 a night to remember, then come join the prom committee every Thursday
at lunch in Mrs. Soule’s room (C102).

ECHS White Tiger football:
This week is our bye week. Tuesday, October 30, and Wednesday, October
31, we will have regular practices in full gear from 3:15 p.m.-6:30
p.m. Thursday, November 1, we will have picture day, from 3:15 p.m.-4:30
p.m. All team members will need to wear their maroon game pants and
black home jerseys for the pictures. Friday, November 2, we will have
no practice. Last game of the season will be Friday, November 9, at
Calipatria. Go White Tigers!
