Homecoming Dance:
If you are coming to this Saturday's Homecoming dance, please remember
the following items:
(1) If you would like to purchase pictures, please pick up an order
form from Mr. Takagi in Room E100.
(2) Please bring your ticket and your student ID card - you need these
for admission.
(3) Please make sure to review the dress code and rules of conduct that
you have accepted on the back of your ticket.
(4) Come prepared to have a great time!
Modified Day (TCP):
Wednesday, November 14 is a modified day for TCP teacher professional
development training. Student dismissal is at 2:00 p.m.
Note: The modified bell schedule is below.
Caps and Gowns (TCP):
A sales representative from Balfour will be on campus on Thursday, November
15 during lunch to take orders for caps and gowns, announcements, class
rings, etc. Order forms were distributed to seniors on Monday, October
15. Students will be able to get additional order forms from the sales
representative on Thursday.
End of Grading Period (TCP):
Friday, November 16 is the end of the third grading period. Progress
reports will be mailed home on Tuesday, November 20.
Saxon Day (TCP):
Saxon Day is almost here! ECHS's 9th annual celebration of Saxon Math
will be held on Tuesday, November 20, so start preparing your math-or
Saxon-related songs, skits, or other performances! Since Saxon Day will
be in the theater this year, you can also submit short videos! All acts
(including videos) should be no more than 5 minutes in length, and you
can sign them up with Mr. Endermann in F100 starting today. Acts will
be screened after school this Friday, November 16. If you have any questions,
ask Mr. Endermann or your math teacher. Go Saxon!
Thanksgiving Holiday:
ECHS will observe the Thanksgiving Holiday next Wednesday, November
21 through Friday, November 23. School will be closed. Enjoy the holiday
and long weekend!
Senior Portfolio Deadline (TCP):
All seniors are reminded your Letter of Recommendation is due to your
mentor no later than Monday, December 3. It is common practice to request
a Letter of Recommendation from your reference at least two weeks prior
to the deadline.
Seniors:
Starting November 13-November 30, Senior Sweatshirts will be available
to order for $35. It will include all the names of the graduating seniors
from TCP and ILP. Please take the opportunity to buy this sweatshirt
to show your class spirit and keep warm. Sweatshirts may be purchased
from Mrs. Childs (C100) after school any day of the week from November
13-November 30. They will also be available during lunch in front of
the library on the following days: Wednesday (11/14), Friday (11/16),
Monday (11/19), Tuesday (11/20), Wednesday (11/28), and Friday (11/30).
Order forms will be available in your English classes starting 11/13.
Please include all the required information (especially the desired
size), and bring exact cash or checks made out to ECHS ASB. ILP: Order
forms will be available with Mrs. Brooks in the front office starting
11/13, and you will place your orders with her as well.
Reward Our Firefighters:
As a way to say “Thanks” to the firefighters from the Midway
fire station, ECHS is collecting gift cards. Tuesday, November 13 is
the last day to turn in Cold Stone and Baskin Robbins ice cream gift
cards, to be presented to the 33 firefighters of our local station.
Turn in gift cards to the decorated bag in the main office.
Warm Up in the Morning!
Hot cocoa is now sold for $1.00 every Friday before school in front
of the arch.
Juniors & Seniors:
It’s prom time again! If you want to be involved in making Prom
2008 a night to remember, then come join the prom committee every Thursday
at lunch in Mrs. Soule’s room (C102).

Don’t miss today’s meeting (11/13) at 12:30 p.m. in F203.
Cross Country Schedule:

Wrestlers:
Our first day of wrestling practice will be Today, November 13, 3:30
p.m., in the gymnasium. Wear t-shirt, shorts, and running shoes. Bring

All Winter Sports Teams:
Today, November 13, Mandatory Behavior Expectation Assembly, 3:30 p.m.,
Gymnasium. Any students and coaches who are participating in our winter
sports (Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling) are required to attend this
assembly. We will discuss the ECHS standards for attitude, behavior,
and conduct for our student-athletes. Contact Mr. Brose, athletic director,
