Escondido Charter High School"Education Is Our Business" Monday thru Wednesday, November 26 to 28, 2007 Welcome Back! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! Today we start the last four weeks of the semester, with only three weeks until final exams. ISPE (TCP): ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday.
All ISPE logs and essays should be placed in the basket in the Library. College Application Deadline: The deadline to submit applications to University of California and California State University campuses is this Friday, November 30. See Mrs. McCrory if you would like her to review your on-line application before you submit. Community Service Opportunity: Heritage K-8 is looking for volunteers to help with Parent’s Night Out scheduled for November 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Volunteers would help supervise kids in the multi-purpose room while they watch movies, play games, and eat snacks. Interested students should contact Leanne Megna in the Heritage K-8 office at 737-3111. Community Service Opportunity: The Deer Springs Fire Safe Council is looking for students to assist with a Fireman’s Benefit Dinner scheduled for December 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Welk Resort. Student volunteers would help set-up for the event, sell raffle tickets, and distribute raffle prizes. Interested students should contact Bill Pickens at 751-3946 for more information or to sign up. Juniors & Seniors: It’s prom time again! If you want to be involved in making Prom 2008 a night to remember, then come join the prom committee every Thursday at lunch in Mrs. Soule’s room (C102). Seniors: Senior Sweatshirts are available to order for $35. It will include all the names of the graduating seniors from TCP and ILP. Please take the opportunity to buy this sweatshirt to show your class spirit and keep you warm. Sweatshirts may be purchased from Mrs. Childs (C100) after school any day of the week until November 30. They will also be available during lunch in front of the library on Wednesday (11/28) and Friday (11/30). Order forms will be available in your English classes. Please include all the required information (especially the desired size in adult sizes), and bring exact cash or checks made out to ECHS ASB. ILP: Order forms are available with Ms. Brooks in the main office and you will place your orders with her as well. CSF & NHS: CSF will meet Tuesday, November 27. CSF Fundraiser: Mmmmmm… chocolate. Watch for CSF’s next big fundraiser. ECHS White Tiger football: Football Awards Banquet will be Tuesday, November 27, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., American Spirit theatre.
