Week 17


ISPE Essay (TCP)!
This is a reminder for all students enrolled in ISPE. The ISPE essays are due Thursday, December 20, and must be submitted by being placed in the ISPE basket in the library. Essays must be typed AND be a minimum of 500 words. If you have questions about the content of the essay, please contact Mr. Brose.

Modified Day:
There will be a modified bell schedule on Friday, December 14. Student dismissal will remain at 2:55 p.m.

The modified schedule is attached (schedule # 2). TCP teachers, please inform Blended students of the modified schedule.

Choir Christmas Concert:
You will not want to miss the ECHS Choral Arts Society’s Annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 7, in the American Spirit Theatre at 7:15 p.m. Only $5.00 admission will get you in the door and you will walk out with the Holiday Spirit ringing in your ears. Don’t miss what will be a great concert. Bring your friends and family.

PSAT Results:
Score reports for the PSAT Exam arrived! All TCP students who took the PSAT exam in October should report to the theatre on Wednesday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. to receive score reports and guidance regarding how to best utilize the information contained in the report. The meeting will last approximately 20 minutes. All ILP students who took the PSAT exam will receive score reports from their Teacher of Record next week.

Community Service Deadline:
Students are expected to earn a minimum 4 hours of community service each semester. Students are reminded to submit your hours using the Community Service Record Form available in the main office. The deadline to submit hours for this semester is Monday, December 17.

Community Service Opportunity:
The Community Clean Up is Saturday, December 8. Please arrive by 9 a.m. and plan to stay until noon; it's a great way to earn community service hours.

Get Involved!
ASB will hold elections for new officers on December 13. If you are committed to working hard for ASB, please sign up in Mr. Takagi's room from by Thursday, December 6. Please remember, only juniors are eligible for the positions of president and vice-president while both juniors and sophomores are eligible for the positions of secretary and treasurer. Also, a 3.5 GPA is required for eligibility to all officer positions. Candidates will deliver election speeches during a brief morning assembly on Thursday, December 13.

Attention students:
The week of December 10 is Spirit Week! Please dress up according to the following themes: Monday, Black and White Day, Tuesday, Retro Day, Wednesday, ‘80s workout day, Thursday, Cardboard Day and Friday, Element Day. On Element Day, the seniors will be fire, the juniors will be wind, the sophomores will be earth, and the freshmen will be water. All costumes must be Charter appropriate. On Wednesday, ASB will host an ‘80s workout session in the theater.

Charter Olympics:
Thursday and Friday are the final two days of the Charter Olympics! Please rally your class and meet us on the field during lunch!


Attention Students!
Hungry like a wolf during finals week? Horribly disappointed that the lunch man doesn't sell lunch during finals week? You are in luck! The ECHS Alumni Association will be providing a tantalizing variety of foods after finals on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, December 18, 19, and 20. The menu includes:

Tuesday (12/18):
mouthwatering marinated bratwurst cooked on a grill with a side of potato salad

Wednesday (12/19):
classy club sandwiches (smoked turkey, roasted turkey, or ham) served with cheese and your choice of lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and mustard along with a side of chips

Thursday (12/20):
2 sumptuous tacos, including a glorious taco bar with all of the fixings, as well as chips and salsa

All dishes include an ice cold soda at no extra charge. Prices are $4 for one meal, $7 for two meals, or $10 for 3 meals. The more you buy, the more you save! Meal tickets will be sold during lunch beginning Monday, December 10. These meals are also open to parents and siblings, so make sure to buy tickets for the whole family!

Parent’s Night Out:
Thank you to all students who volunteered for the Heritage K-8 Parent’s Night Out on November 30. Due to the popularity and success of the event, a second Parent’s Night Out is scheduled for Saturday, December 15. Heritage K-8 is looking for volunteers to help supervise kids in the multi-purpose room while they watch movies, play games, and eat snacks from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students interested in volunteering should contact Leanne Megna in the Heritage K-8 office at 737-3111.

Cross Country Awards Banquet:
All cross country runners and their families are invited to the awards banquet tonight, December 6, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., in the student union. Please contact Coach Wisden @ 522-0493 if you have any questions. Go White Tigers!!!
