Week 18
ISPE (TCP)!
The ISPE essays for all students enrolled in ISPE are due Thursday,
December 20. Essays must be submitted in the ISPE basket in the library.
Essays must be typed AND be a minimum of 500 words. If you have questions
about the content of the essay, please contact Mr. Brose.
ASB Elections:
Candidates for ASB officer positions will deliver election speeches
during a brief morning assembly today, December 13. Voting will take
place in front of the library during lunch.
Note:
The modified schedule for Thursday is attached. TCP teachers, please
inform Blended students of the modified schedule.
Modified Day:
There will be a modified bell schedule on Friday, December 14. Student
dismissal will remain at 2:55 p.m.

Spirit Week:
This week is Spirit Week! Please dress up according to the following
themes: Thursday, Cardboard Day and Friday, Element Day. On Element
Day, the seniors will be fire, the juniors will be wind, the sophomores
will be earth, and the freshmen will be water. All costumes must be
Charter appropriate.
Attention Students:
What would your parents or grandparents like for Christmas? Why, they’d
like a photo of you with Santa, of course. For just $5 (what a bargain),
you can receive a professional-looking 5 x 7 print ready for framing.

Lost-and-Found:
Students are reminded to pickup lost items from the ECHS lost-and-found.
There is quite a collection of jackets, jewelry, books, backpacks, etc.
The lost-and-found is located in the TCP administrative office, across
from the main office. Items not retrieved by Thursday, December 20,
will be donated to a charitable organization.
Clean & Wash!
Students, please take home your food containers, lunch bags, etc. Do
not leave any food, drink, or other perishable items in your locker.
Also, if you have sports bags or clothes on campus, take them home for
washing over the holidays. Please note that the refrigerator and Student
Union will be EMPTIED and cleaned during the Holidays. Any containers
or food left behind will be removed and donated to charity.
End of Semester:
This is the last week of the semester prior to semester finals. Ensure
all work, reports, etc. are submitted and you devote enough time to
prepare for your exams. Comprehensive semester finals will be given
on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, December 18, 19, and 20. The schedule
for semester finals is attached.
Community Service Opportunity:
Light & Life Christian School is assisting Dream Dinners in Poway
with assembling 500 holiday meal boxes for families affected by the
recent fires. The event will take place on Saturday, December 22 in
two hour shifts scheduled at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and 12 p.m. Transportation
is available from Light & Life Christian School located at 120 North
Ash. Interested students should contact Ann Kuhn at 745-2832.
Seniors:
Did you order a class ring? Have you ordered your cap and gown and announcements
yet? The Balfour representative will be set up in front of the library
to distribute your rings and take your cap and gown order on Wednesday,
December 19 at noon (immediately after finals).
PSAT Results:
Students who did not pick-up their results at the meeting on December
12 should see Mrs. Endermann in the library no later than Monday, December
17 to pick up your score report.
Christmas Dinner!
The Annual Christmas Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, December 20.
Tickets are on sale during lunch for TCP students. ILP students who
are Blended (i.e., taking at least one TCP class this semester) can
purchase their tickets in the Main Office. The Dinner/Dance, hosted
by the P.A.B., will be held at the California Center for the Arts in
Escondido. Cost is $15 per person and is sure to be fun for all! Great
food, music, friends and fun!
Drivers Ed:
The Driver's Ed. final exam will be administrated on Thursday Dec 13.
All Students must complete the 4 packets that follow the 2007 Drivers
Handbook and read the sections in their textbooks in preparation for
the exam. Students who need assistance should see Mr. Webber this week.
Seniors:
Senior sweatshirts are still available to order for $35. Orders will
be accepted until December 20, 2007. Orders may be placed with Mrs.
Childs (C100) during lunch, before or after school or with Ms. Brooks
in the main office. Please include all the required information (especially
the desired size in adult sizes), and bring exact cash or checks made
out to ECHS ASB. ILP: Order forms are still available with Ms. Brooks
in the main office and you will place your orders with her as well.
Attention Students!
Your final chance to purchase tickets for the tantalizing tasty treats
of the Alumni Association during finals week is coming to an end. Thursday
and Friday of this week are the last two days to buy your tickets! After
all, who can say "No" to a bratwurst after a dastardly difficult
final? Nobody. That's who. So buy your tickets today and help support
the Association! All proceeds go toward a scholarship fund.

JSA:
What says "Happy Holidays" better than a candy cane from a
friend? Nothing! That's why JSA will sell candy-cane-grams Thursday
(12/13), and Friday (12/14) at lunch for $1. You can write a note to
your friends, and we can deliver it with a peppermint candy cane and
a smile on Monday, December 17. Thanks for your support and have a great
end of the semester!
NHS:
Join us for the final meeting of 2007 on Tuesday during lunch. At the
meeting, we will be making Christmas cards for our friends at Town &
Country. Bring supplies to jazz up the cards!
