Senior Exhibition (TCP):
The personal story section of your portfolio is due on March 7. See your mentor for details.

Freshmen Note (TCP):
ECHS will conduct physical fitness testing for all freshmen during the week of March 3. Because physical fitness testing is required by the State of California, all ECHS freshmen are required to participate in the assessment. TCP students will be tested after school from 3:05 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. TCP students have been assigned a specific testing day according to the first letter of their last name as scheduled below:

Monday A-D
Tuesday E-J
Wednesday K-Q
Thursday R-Z
Friday Make-Up Day

AP Exams (TCP):
Students taking AP Exams this year are required to submit a $13 deposit for each exam no later than Friday, March 7. Bring your payment, cash (exact change) or check made payable to ECHS, to your AP teacher. Exams will only be ordered for those students who submit the deposit by the deadline. Note: The remaining $71 balance will be due no later than Friday, April 18.

Community Service Opportunity:
The Challenger Baseball League, a baseball league for kids with a variety of physical and mental disabilities, is looking for high school students to serve as buddies to assist players during games. Games are held on Saturdays at Kit Carson Park between 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The league runs from March 1 to mid-June. Contact Celeste Harmon at 480-8321 for more details or to sign up.

SDSU Open House:
San Diego State University is hosting an open house event for prospective students on Saturday, March 15. If you are considering attending SDSU or want to apply in the future don’t miss this opportunity to take a tour, receive in depth information about majors, and preview campus organizations. Palomar Assessment Tests:
Assessment testing for Palomar College is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. Seniors who complete an application, participate in the assessment tests on March 5, and attend a follow-up orientation will receive priority registration. TCP seniors see Mrs. McCrory to sign up for a testing session. ILP seniors see Mr. Gidner to sign up for a testing session.

Prom Committee:
Please join us for our weekly meeting today, February 28 in Mrs. Soule’s room during lunch as we prep for ticket sales in March and make final decoration decisions.

Rubio’s Fundraiser:
You need an afternoon snack! Come to Rubio’s today, February 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Not only will you get a delicious meal, but you will also help raise money for scholarships! Pick up a flyer in the library, Main Office, or in F203. Flyers must be presented at Rubio’s on Thursday to give the school credit.

Teenage Republican Club:
What is John McCain saying? Come to the next meeting and learn about John McCain’s positions on education, immigration, and the war in Iraq. Meet in room C210 at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

Spaghetti Dinner:
Support the boy’s baseball team by participating in this year’s spaghetti dinner/fundraiser on Wednesday, March 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the Student union. The cost is $10 per person, and $30 per family. Come and enjoy an evening of food and fun! Go White Tigers!

Baseball:
Today, February 28, Scrimmage: ECHS vs. Calvary Christian (Vista) at Calvin Christian HS, 3:15 p.m. Friday, February 29, ECHS vs. Guajome Park Academy in the Tri-City Christian Tournament, 3:15 p.m., Mira Cosa Junior College. TCP early release time: 2:00 p.m. Go White Tigers!!!

Softball:
Friday, February 29, and Saturday, March 1, our Lady White Tigers travel to Parker, Arizona for a tournament. All members of the softball team will be absent from school on Friday, February 29, but they are still responsible for turning in their assignments on Monday. Encourage these girls to play hard this weekend. Go White Tigers!!!

Golf Practices:

Cheer Tryouts:
If you are interested in cheering for the ECHS White Tigers during the 2008-2009 school year, please attend the parent informational meeting on Monday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the theatre.

Football players:
Pick up your 2008 athletic handbook from the front desk. All handbook forms must be submitted into Coach Rea by Friday, April 4, in order to participate in Spring training (May 12-May 16, and May 19-May 23). Go White Tigers!!!
