Week 10
Registration for 2008/2009 School Year (TCP):
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are reminded that your completed
registration packets are due Friday, March 14. Students who do not return
the registration packet will not be enrolled in TCP for the 2008/2009
school year.
Friday is Pi Day!:
Once upon a time, there was a right-handed chef with no left arm, a left-handed
chef with no right arm, and a chef with no arms. So one day they decided
to get together to bake a pie. To see what happens next, come to the commons
at lunch on Pi Day!
Movie Night/Food Drive:
The Parent Advisory Board is excited to invite all the students at ECHS
to a Movie Night/Food Drive. We will have a huge inflatable screen out
on the sports field & will show the movie "Remember the Titans.”
We’ll also have some munchies! So join us this Friday, March 14
at 7:30 p.m., bring a blanket to throw down on the grass or chairs if
you prefer. Also bring any canned food that you'd like to donate to our
food drive for the North County Food Bank. All you need to get in is your
ECHS student ID card. Movie Night is for ECHS students only; no guests
will be allowed.
Modified Day:
There will be a modified bell schedule on Friday, March 14. Student dismissal
will remain 2:55 p.m.
Note: The modified schedule is attached (schedule #2). TCP teachers, please
inform Blended students of the modified schedule.
Senior Portfolio Deadline:
All seniors are reminded three exemplary works for your portfolio are
due to your mentor no later than Friday, March 28. Select completed and
graded assignments that reflect your best work in different subject areas.
CROP Walk:
Students are invited to attend a two mile walk on Sunday, April 20, to
raise money for an anti-poverty program called CROP Walk. Church World
Services hosts an annual event to raise money to support the development
of sustainable water and food sources for impoverished nations in Africa.

Airband:
Have you ever wanted to be a superstar? It’s time for our annual
Airband Extravaganza! See Mr. Takagi in Room E100 for more information
and to sign up. Make sure you sign up by April 1.
Service Academy and ROTC Information Night:
San Diego’s annual Service Academy and ROTC Information Night will
be held on Thursday, March 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Northrop
Grumman in Rancho Bernardo. Students in grades 9-11 interested in attending
a military academy or college ROTC program should attend this event. Admissions
counselors from all five service academies and many college ROTC programs
will be present to provide valuable information and answer questions.
Pick up a flyer in the library or main office for more details.
Seniors and Juniors:
Today is the last day prom tickets are available at lunch for $50, but
they are available for $50 the rest of this week after school in Mrs.
Childs’ room (C100). Due to the teacher luncheon on Friday, tickets
will not be sold during lunch on Friday, but they will still be available
after school. If you are bringing a guest, you must have a completed guest
pass prior to purchasing your guest’s ticket. ILP students may submit
their packets to their teachers of record in order to purchase tickets.
Tickets will be available March 24 to April 4 for $60.00 each and April
7 to 18 for $70.00 each. Please make checks payable to ECHS ASB.
Seniors:
It is not too late to get your senior sweatshirt! Please stop by Mrs.
Childs’ room (C100) any day after school or the Prom table at lunch
Wednesday through Friday to purchase your sweatshirt for $35.
CSF:
The next CSF meeting is this Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
Prom Committee:
Please join us for our weekly meeting on today in Mrs. Soule’s room
at lunch as we make final decoration decisions and music selections.
Girls Soccer Team Members:
If you have not turned in your uniforms, make sure to give both uniforms
to either Coach Torres or Coach Page. We need the uniforms as soon as
possible, so that we can inventory them.
Softball Bake Sales:
Only two more days left to help support the girl’s softball team.
Come get some home baked goods and some tasty treats on March 24 &
26 from 2:45 – 3:15 p.m. Go White Tigers!!!
Baseball:
Next games: Today, March 13, ECHS vs. San Pasqual Academy in the Tri-City
Christian Tournament, 3:15 p.m., @ Mira Costa Community College. TCP early
release time: 2:00 p.m. Go White Tigers!!!
Softball:
Next game: Tuesday, February 25, ECHS vs. Canyon Crest Academy, 4:00 p.m.,
Washington Park. TCP early release time will be 2:45 p.m. Go White Tigers!!!
Track:
Bronco Track and Field Invitational, this Saturday, March 15, 9:00 a.m.

Cheer Tryouts:
If you are interested in being a part of the 2008 ECHS White Tiger Cheerleading
Team, come to the tryouts on Friday, March 14, 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., in

Football Informational Meeting:
If you are interesting in joining the 2008 ECHS White Tiger Football program,
bring your parents come to the important informational meeting on Thursday,
April 3, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m., in the theatre. We will discuss all the
important details about spring training, summer workouts, and the upcoming
season. Make sure to pick up an athletic handbook from the front desk,
so that you can complete your physical ASAP! All handbooks should be returned
to Coach Brose or Coach Rea by April 4. Make sure to complete all paperwork.
We are all in this season together, so make sure that you are ready to
