Week 11
ISPE (TCP):
ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday. All ISPE logs
and essays should be placed in the basket in the library.
Registration for 2008/2009 School Year (TCP):
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are reminded that your completed
registration packets were due Friday, March 14. Students who do not return
the registration packet will not be enrolled in TCP for the 2008/2009
school year.
Senior Portfolio Deadline:
All seniors are reminded three exemplary works for your portfolio are
due to your mentor no later than Friday, March 28. Select completed and
graded assignments that reflect your best work in different subject areas.
SAT Registration Deadline:
Tuesday, April 1 is the deadline to register for the May 3 SAT Reasoning
Test or SAT Subject Tests. Juniors should visit www.collegeboard.com to
register.
CROP Walk:
Students are invited to attend a two mile walk on Sunday, April 20, to
raise money for an anti-poverty program called CROP Walk. Church World
Services hosts an annual event to raise money to support the development
of sustainable water and food sources for impoverished nations in Africa.

Airband:
Have you ever wanted to be a superstar? It’s time for our annual
Airband Extravaganza! See Mr. Takagi in Room E100 for more information
and to sign up. Make sure you sign up by April 1.
Firefighter Recruitment Fair:
Female students interested in entering the fire fighting profession are
invited to attend a firefighter recruitment fair on Saturday, April 12
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Orange. Fair activities include candidate
of physical ability test demonstrations, a day in the life of a fire fighter
presentations, and apparatus displays. Interested students should pick
up a flyer in the library or main office for details.
Rubio’s Fundraiser:
Another reason to eat at Rubio’s, besides the great food and reasonable
prices, is the great cause! Go to Rubio’s on Wednesday, April 2
to help raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for
Life! Flyers will be available in the office, the library, and in F203.
Seniors and Juniors:
Prom tickets are now $60 each. They are available this whole week after
school in Mrs. Childs’ room (C100). They will also be available
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at lunch. If you are bringing a guest,
you must have a completed guest pass prior to purchasing your guest’s
ticket. ILP students may submit their packets to their teachers of record
in order to purchase tickets. Tickets will be available March 24 to April
4 for $60.00 each and April 7 to 18 for $70.00 each. Please make checks
payable to ECHS ASB.
Seniors:
It is not too late to get your senior sweatshirt! Please stop by Mrs.
Childs’ room (C100) any day after school or the Prom table at lunch
Wednesday through Friday to purchase your sweatshirt for $35.
CSF:
The next CSF meeting will be Tuesday, March 25 at 12:30 pm in F-203.
NHS:
NHS meets on Tuesday, April 1, at 12:30 pm in F-203.
NHS Honor Award:
Applications for the NHS Honor Award, an in-house scholarship for NHS
members, are available in F203. The application deadline is April 24.

Drivers Ed (TCP):
All students who are enrolled in the Driver’s Education class must
be at Thursday’s meeting promptly at 7:15 a.m. The class will be
lead by two Escondido Police Officers.
Prom Committee:
Please join us for our weekly meeting on today in Mrs. Soule’s room
at lunch as we make final decoration decisions and music selections.
Softball Bake Sales:
Only two more days left to help support the girl’s softball team.
Come get some home baked goods and some tasty treats today, March 24,
or on Wednesday, March 26, from 2:45 – 3:15 p.m. Go White Tigers!!!

Football Informational Meeting:
If you are interesting in joining the 2008 ECHS White Tiger Football program,
bring your parents come to the important informational meeting on Thursday,
April 3, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m., in the theatre. We will discuss all the
important details about spring training, summer workouts, and the upcoming
season. Make sure to pick up an athletic handbook from the front desk,
so that you can complete your physical ASAP! All handbooks should be returned
to Coach Brose or Coach Rea by April 4. Make sure to complete all paperwork.
We are all in this season together, so make sure that you are ready to
