Have you ever wanted to pie your teacher?
Well, on Friday, April 11, you will get the opportunity to do just that
for only $1!
Musical Performance:
Parents, students, and community members are invited to attend a performance
by the piper, drums, and dancers of the Cameron Highlanders on Saturday,
April 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the American Spirit Theater. The show will also
include a performance by the Escondido Charter High School Choir and Heritage
K-8 Charter School Piano Club. Tickets can be purchased in the Main Office
for $10.
San Diego National College Fair:
The San Diego National College Fair will be held on Thursday, April 10
at the San Diego Convention Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admissions
officers from hundreds of colleges and universities will be on hand to
answer questions. Attending the event will provide invaluable assistance
with the college planning process. Pick up a flyer in the main office
or library or visit www.nacacnet.org/NCF for more information.
Scholarships:
Four new scholarships for seniors are posted on the bulletin board in
the library. The new scholarships are sponsored by San Diego County Society
of Women Engineers, Naval Officers’ Spouses’ Club, Junior
Seau Foundation, and San Diego Farm Bureau. Stop by to determine if you
meet the eligibility requirements for one or more of these scholarships.
Calling all parents (TCP)!
It's time to start planning Grad Nite! This is one of the biggest nights
for our seniors, so let’s plan something really special. Please
join the Parent Advisory Board for a planning meeting on Thursday, April
4 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. If you're not able to make it to this meeting
but are interested in helping, please call Pati Navarro 740-5943.
Prom Committee:
Please join us for our weekly meeting today in Mrs. Soule’s room
(C102) at lunch as we make final decoration decisions and music selections.
Seniors and Juniors:
Today and tomorrow are the last two days to buy prom tickets for $60 each.
They are available today and tomorrow at lunch in front of the library
or after school in Mrs. Childs’ room (C100). If you are bringing
a guest, you must have a completed guest pass prior to purchasing your
guest’s ticket. ILP students may submit their ticket requests to
their teachers of record in order to purchase tickets. Tickets will be
available until April 4 for $60.00 each, and then they will be $70.00
each from April 7 to April 18. Please make checks payable to ECHS ASB.
Rummage Sale:
Here’s another chance to get some spring cleaning done! Bring your
gently used goods to school this Friday for the Relay for Life Rummage
Sale #2! Help the American Cancer Society keep up its great work! See
Ms. Rittenhouse for details.
Attention Relay for Life ECHS Team members:
The ECHS team will meet in Ms. Rittenhouse’s room (F-203) during
lunch on Friday. Please bring all of your signed paperwork and come prepared
to discuss the event. Bring any money you have collected. See you there!
“Against the Current”:
All Chartarians, an unforgettable event is coming to our school. “Against
the Current” hosted by your very own student prayer club is coming
to the “American Spirit” Theater on April 11 from 7:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. There will be a guest speaker, prizes, music, C28, and much

NHS Honor Award:
Applications for the NHS Honor Award, an in-house scholarship for NHS
members, are available in F203. The application deadline is April 24.

CSF:
Two big events are coming up! Seats are still available for the CSF Spring
Conference on April 5. Also, our Medieval Times trip is scheduled for
May 9, but you must reserve your place by April 4! See Ms. Rittenhouse
for permission slips.

Football Informational Meeting:
If you are interesting in joining the 2008 ECHS White Tiger Football program,
bring your parents and come to the important informational meeting on
Thursday, April 3, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m., in the gymnasium (please note
the change of location). We will discuss all the important details about
spring training, summer workouts, and the upcoming season. Make sure to
pick up an athletic handbook from the front desk, so that you can complete
your physical ASAP! All handbooks should be returned to Coach Brose or
Coach Rea by April 4. Make sure to complete all paperwork. We are all
in this season together, so make sure that you are ready to roll! Contact
