Spirit Week (Take Two)! Have fun, but make sure it’s Charter appropriate! Have you ever wanted to pie your teacher? Well, on Friday, April 11, you will get the opportunity to do just that for only $1! STAR Testing (TCP): California STAR testing for all 9th, 10th, and 11th
grade students will take place from Monday, April 21 through Thursday,
April 24. The STAR consists of a series of exams in English, mathematics,
social science, and science called the California Standards Tests (CST).
TCP students will test in their first period classroom from 8:05 a.m.
to 10:55 a.m. Students will then attend classes according to a modified
bell schedule with dismissal at 2:55 p.m. Musical Performance: Parents, students, and community members are invited to attend a performance by the piper, drums, and dancers of the Cameron Highlanders on Saturday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the American Spirit Theater. The show will also include a performance by the Escondido Charter High School Choir and Heritage K-8 Charter School Piano Club. Tickets can be purchased in the Main Office for $10. Grad Night 2008 (TCP): Seniors, save the date!!!! Grad Night 2008 – California Cruisin’ will take place at the ECHS American Spirit Theater and Gym on Friday, May 30 from 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. We are working with a party company to make this a high energy, exciting night for all the TCP Grads. The theme will be classic cars, surf boards, 50’s and 60’s, beach retro. More information will follow and ticket sales will be announced at the end of April. San Diego National College Fair: The San Diego National College Fair will be held on Thursday, April 10 at the San Diego Convention Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visit www.nacacnet.org/NCF for a listing of institutions that will be present, workshop information, and tips on how to take advantage of the resources available at the event. ¬College Representative Visit: An admissions representative from the University of Miami will be on campus during lunch in front of the library. University of Miami consists of eight undergraduate schools including: Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, Music, and Nursing and Health Studies. Stop by to learn more about the majors, student life, honors program, and undergraduate research opportunities available at University of Miami. Calling all parents (TCP)! It's time to start planning Grad Nite! This is one of the biggest nights for our seniors, so let’s plan something really special. Please join the Parent Advisory Board for a planning meeting on Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. If you're not able to make it to this meeting but are interested in helping, please call Pati Navarro 740-5943.
Prom Committee: Please join us for our weekly meeting Thursday in Mrs.
Soule’s room (C102) at lunch as we make Seniors and Juniors: Prom tickets are now available for $70 each. They are available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at lunch in front of the library or after school in Mrs. Childs’ room (C100). If you are bringing a guest, you must have a completed guest pass prior to purchasing your guest’s ticket. ILP students may submit their ticket requests to their teachers of record in order to purchase tickets. Tickets will be available until April 18 for $70 each. Please make checks payable to ECHS ASB. Rummage Sale: Here’s another chance to get some spring cleaning done! Bring your gently used goods to school this Friday for the Relay for Life Rummage Sale #2! Help the American Cancer Society keep up its great work! See Ms. Rittenhouse for details. Attention Relay for Life ECHS Team members: The ECHS team will meet in Ms. Rittenhouse’s room (F-203) during lunch on Friday. Please bring all of your signed paperwork and come prepared to discuss the event. Bring any money you have collected. See you there! NHS: Vote for officers on Tuesday in the library. Ballots will be available all day until the library closes. CSF: The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 8, during lunch in F203. Don’t forget to turn in Medieval Times forms by Monday at 4:00 p.m. Girl’s Soccer: We are still missing some soccer uniforms. If you have not turned in your uniform, please give it to Coach Torres or Coach Page. We need to complete our soccer uniform inventory.
