Week 18


ISPE (TCP):
ISPE essays and final logs will be due on Friday, May 23. Please contact Mr. Brose if you have any questions about the content of the ISPE essay.

Community Service Hours Deadline (TCP):
The last day to submit community service hours for the second semester is Friday, May 23. To ensure your hours are recorded, turn in a completed and signed Community Service Record Form to the main office by the deadline.

Semester Finals (TCP):
Second semester final exams will be given on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 27 – 29. The finals for periods 1 and 2 will be on Tuesday, for periods 3 and 4 on Wednesday, and for periods 5 and 6 on Thursday. Dismissal will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Because of the Unveiling Ceremony, dismissal for Wednesday will be at 12:30 p.m.
Note: The modified schedule is attached.

Unveiling Ceremony:
The bronze sculpture The American Spirit by Phyllis Peuker Raynes will be unveiled on Wednesday, May 28, at 12:00 p.m. in front of the American Spirit Theater. All parents and community members are invited to attend.
Note: TCP teachers will escort their 4th period students to the theater at the end of the testing period on Wednesday.

Final Transcripts:
All seniors are reminded you are required to send the college you plan to attend a final transcript that includes your eighth semester grades. Submit a completed transcript request form, including the address where you need the transcript mailed, and submit to Mrs. McCrory. You are advised to complete and submit the final transcript request form no later than Friday, May 23.

AP Exams (TCP):
The World History AP Exam will be administered Thursday, May 15 at 8:00 a.m. in room D202.
Advanced Performing Arts: TCP and ILP students who signed up to audition for Advanced Performing Arts will deliver a monologue of their choice, approximately one minute in length, and complete a cold read from a script. Auditions will take place between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21. See Mrs. McCrory to sign up for an audition date and time. Note: There is still space for additional students to sign-up.

Yearbooks Are In!
Students who purchase a yearbook by close of school on Friday, May 16 can pick-up their yearbook in the main archway after school on Monday, May 19. Yearbook sales will resume on Tuesday, May 20. Additional pick-up dates are scheduled on Friday, May 23 and Friday, May 30. No yearbooks will be sold on pick up dates.

Ready For Summer?
Come to the end of the year Luau on May 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sign yearbooks, eat amazing food, play awesome games, and hang out with all your friends! All this for only $5! Pay at the door.

Lost-and-Found:
Students are reminded to pick up lost items from the ECHS lost-and-found. The lost-and-found is located in the TCP administrative office, across from the main office. Items not retrieved by Friday, May 30 will be donated to a charitable organization.

Summer School (TCP):
Summer school will be held from June 9 to July 3. Classes will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. daily. Students may complete a maximum of two semesters of work (10 credits). All students who have NOT successfully completed all courses for their current grade level or who are credit deficient should attend summer school. Please see Mrs. McCrory if you have any questions about summer school.

Grad Night Tickets:
Seniors may purchase their Grad Night tickets on Tuesday (tomorrow) at lunchtime in front of the library. The cost is $40 per ticket. Come join your fellow graduates on your last night together and enjoy the many activities planned for the evening including: prizes and giveaways, lounge area, coffee bar, soda fountain, food, souvenir photograph, games, photo booth and live entertainment. Plus, entertainment from our partners at ‘Party Pals’. Permission forms are available in the Main Office.

Junior, Sophomore, & Freshmen Parents (TCP):
We'd like your help with an all night party to celebrate our Seniors! Grad Nite will be held on Friday, May 30, from 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. We're planning a night full of fun for the graduates, but we need volunteers to help set up, chaperone, and clean up. Senior parents are organizing this event, but we need the parents of underclassmen to help the night of the event. Parents will work in shifts, so it’s not too much work for anyone! 50's & 60's Decorations (TCP):
The theme for Grad Nite is California Cruisin', and the Parent Advisory Board would like to know if you have fun "California Cruisin'" decorations. We're looking for 50's/60's memorabilia, beach items, and retro type decorations that we can borrow. If you have items you can lend us, please contact Pati Navarro at 740-5943 or navarrofive@cox.net.

Football Spring Training Sessions:
Monday, May 12- Friday, May 16, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., ECHS Soccer Field. Be on the field at 3:15 p.m. dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, and cleats. Bring all completed athletic handbook forms in order to participate. Questions? Contact Coach Brose @ 760-737-3154, ext. 148. Go White Tigers!!!

Girls’ Basketball Information Meeting:
If you are interested in participating on the 2008-2009 girls’ basketball team, come to the informational meeting on Thursday, May 22, 3:15 p.m., in the gymnasium. Questions??? Contact Coach Keyser @ 760-670-7415. Go White Tigers!!!
