Week 6

ISPE (TCP): ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library.

School Photographs (TCP): Did you forget your payment on picture day? Order forms (with payment) may be turned in to the Main Office. The deadline is September 16.

Modified Schedule: There will be a modified schedule on Friday, September 18. Lunch will be longer to accommodate a staff meeting. Dismissal remains at 2:55 p.m.

9th Grade Parents (TCP): All TCP 9th grade parents are invited to attend the “Bridge the Gap” seminar on Thursday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the theater. The purpose of the seminar is to provide parents with the information and tools necessary to effectively help their students be successful in high school. This hands-on program is designed to address the specific issues and concerns facing parents with students in ninth grade.

Awards Assembly (TCP): An assembly to recognize students who earned honor roll status for the second semester of last school year will be held on Friday, September 25. All students should assemble in the gym at 2:00 p.m. Congratulations to all the honor roll students!
Note: The schedule for the awards assembly is attached.

PSAT Registration: PSAT registration is now open to both juniors and sophomores. To register, bring your $13 payment, cash (exact change) or check made payable to ECHS, to Mrs. Endermann in the Library. The PSAT will be held on Wednesday, October 14 at 8:00 a.m. Registration is limited to the first 100 students who register.

Blood Drive: Sign-ups for the blood drive will take place during lunch this week in front of the library. You must be at least 17 years old and 110 lbs. or more. The blood drive is on Sept.30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chips for Charter: ECHS PAB presents Chips for Charter. Don’t miss this exciting night out! We have a great evening lined up! This year our fund raising event will be held at the California Center for the Arts – Escondido, October 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Buy your tickets for the ECHS PAB annual fund raiser NOW. Tickets are on sale until October 1 (seating is limited). Tickets are available online at echs.org, from any PAB member, or the Main Office. You may also mail a check to ECHS PAB in care of the school and your tickets will be on will call the evening of the event. See you there!

Box Tops for Education: Have you noticed the box tops for education collection boxes in the office? Please clip, save, and bring in your box tops for education!

Lockers (TCP): Lockers must be locked at all times. All unlocked lockers will receive one warning; subsequent warnings will result in losing your locker privilege.
Marine Science Club/NOSB: Remember the first NOSB (National Ocean Sciences Bowl) meeting will be held Monday, September 14, at 3:00 p.m. in Room F104. The next Marine Science Club meeting will be Thursday, September 17, at lunch in Room F104. We will be discussing the upcoming beach cleanup for California Coastal Cleanup Day.
Photography Club: The Photography Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in Room B201. Come and have some fun, learn about photography and cameras, and earn college credit. Everybody is welcome to join.
Town & Country: Wear your Town & Country shirts this week for a special treat at T&C. If you haven’t earned yours yet, now is the time to sign up! See Mrs. Rea for information and a permission slip.

CSF: Don’t miss this week’s meeting! Come to F203 at 12:30 Tuesday to meet your new officers and help them plan a great year for our club.

Boys Club Volleyball: Boy’s interested in playing club volleyball, please come to an information meeting on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Fall Baseball: Interested in playing Fall Baseball? Go to www.ecll.org (Escondido Youth Baseball) to register for the 18 and under White Tigers. Cost is $100. Practice will start next week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Del Dios Middle School from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Games will be on Saturdays/Sundays.
