Week 11

ISPE (TCP): ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library.

Modified Day (TCP): Wednesday, October 21 is a modified day for TCP teacher professional development training. Student dismissal is at 2:00 p.m.
Note: The modified bell schedule is attached.

Biola University Admissions Presentation: All students who registered to attend the Biola University admissions presentation should report to Room D201 at 2:00 p.m. today (10/19).

Lunch Time Entertainment! Come listen to an outstanding group called “Orchestra” who will play during lunch on Wednesday, October 21. Don’t miss it!

End of Second Grading Period (TCP): The Second Grading Period ended Friday, October 16. Progress reports will be handed out before school on Wednesday, October 21. The progress reports not picked up will be promptly mailed.

Caps & Gowns (TCP): Did you miss your first opportunity to order your cap & gown? The Balfour representative will be here during lunch in front of the library on Wednesday, October 21, to take your orders.

College Fair: The Escondido High School District college fair will be held tonight (10/19) California Center for the Arts! Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 should set time aside between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to attend. If you have a conflict with the Escondido college fair, Poway Unified School District will also host a college fair on Tuesday, October 20 at Del Norte High School from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

CSU Application Workshop: Seniors, remember to register for the CSU application workshop scheduled for Wednesday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m. The workshop will help seniors avoid common mistakes made on the CSU application. See Mrs. McCrory no later than close of school today (10/19) to sign-up.

University of Colorado Admissions Visit: The University of Colorado Denver admissions presentation will take place on Wednesday, October 21, at 8:05 a.m. Juniors and seniors interested in attending college in Colorado and considering a major in Business, 3-D Animation, Recording Arts, Music Management, or Health Careers should consider attending. See Mrs. McCrory no later than close of school today (10/19) to register.

UC Application Workshop: An admissions representative from UCSD will be at ECHS on Thursday, October 22 at 8:05 a.m. to conduct a UC application workshop. The representative will also provide specific information relevant to UCSD admissions. Seniors applying to UCSD or any other UC campus are encouraged to attend. See Mrs. McCrory or send an e-mail to kmccrory@echs.org no later than close of school on Wednesday, October 21 to register.

Attention all Students! The 2010 Yearbook, "A Modern Perspective," is now on sale! The cost is $70.00 per book. A reservation can be made by placing a $35.00 deposit with either Mr. Panlasigui or Mrs. Jones. Cost of the book will increase to $80.00 starting December 11, 2009. Make checks payable to "ECHS ASB" and place "Yearbook" in the check memo.

Key Club: Don’t forget that your dues need to be turned in by Wednesday, October 28. Next meeting is this Wednesday, October 21, in Mrs. Soule’s room.

NOSB/Marine Science Club: NOSB will meet Tuesday, in room F104 after school. The Marine Science Club will meet Thursday at lunch in room F104.

NHS: The next all-club meeting will be Tuesday, October 20, at 12:30 in F203.

CSF: Don’t miss today’s CSF meeting in F203 at 12:30!

Town & Country: Earn 2 hours of community service credit after school on a Tuesday. See Mrs. Rea for details.

Boys’ Soccer: Interested in being a part of ECHS Boys’ Soccer?? There will be an information meeting on Monday, October 19, 7:00 p.m. in the Room C201. Bring your parents to learn more about the program and meet the coaches. Voluntary open soccer practice will begin on Fridays at 3:30pm on the ECHS soccer field.
