2010 ISPE (TCP): ISPE logs are due. Logs will not be accepted after Tuesday. All ISPE logs, essays, and contracts should be placed in the basket in the Library. Modified Day (TCP): Wednesday, February 17, is a modified day for TCP
teacher professional development training. Student dismissal is at 2:00
p.m. SAT and ACT Registration: College bound juniors are reminded to register
for the SAT Reasoning Test and/or ACT with Writing. In addition to the
SAT Reasoning Test or ACT with Writing, juniors intending to apply to
a UC campus also need register for two SAT Subject Tests in different
academic areas. Detailed information regarding dates and registration
procedures was distributed to TCP juniors last week and will be distributed
to ILP juniors this week by Teachers of Record. Get more information or

Juniors and Seniors: We are pleased to announce that the theme that won the TCP and ILP vote for Prom 2010 is Hollywood: A Night Among the Stars. Prom packets for Prom 2010 will be available beginning February 16. All students attending prom must pick up a prom packet, read the behavior and dress code, and complete the Dress Code & Behavior Agreement/Parental Consent/Emergency Contact (all on one form) in order to purchase a ticket. TCP packets are available in the library or Mrs. Childs' room (D202-upstairs in the library). ILP packets are available in the main office. Tickets go on sale March 1. They will be sold for $30 up through March 19, and then the price will go up the following week. If students are bringing a guest who does not attend ECHS, they must remember to get their guest pass approved prior to purchasing the ticket. Remember to buy your tickets early, so that you can enjoy a great night on May 1. NHS: The next meeting for NHS members will be on Tuesday, February 23, at 12:30 in F203. At this meeting, your assignments for the induction ceremony will be given. All members must attend. New and prospective members will attend the next meeting on March 9. Volunteer at the Salvation Army: ECHS is looking for volunteers to help out in the Salvation Army’s cold weather center. Students will help on Saturdays for the next six weeks. Students will meet at ECHS at 3:00 p.m. and return at 6:45pm. Sign up for a Saturday between February 20 and March 27. This is the perfect way to complete your required 4 hours of community service. See Mrs. Dunlap in room E200 to sign up and get a permission slip. Volunteer At A Local Elementary School: Need community service hours? ECHS Key Club volunteers at the North Broadway Elementary School every Wednesday from 3:15- 4:00. Even if you aren’t a member of Key Club, you can still sign up and help out. Talk to Mrs. Dunlap in E200 if you are interested and to get a permission slip. Key Club: Meet in room E200 on Wednesday! Haiti Fund: Thank you once again to everyone who contributed. As a school we collected over $1600 which we will donate to Direct Relief International. Congratulations to the top 3 classes. Mr. Waterhouse’s class had $432.03, followed closely by Mr. Torres’ class with $360.46, and Mrs. Glaeske with $102.49. Baseball: Tryouts will be held on Saturday, February 20, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Del Dios Middle School. Weight lifting maxes are this week (February 8-11).
